"Everyone head to the ferry terminal. This is your last chance to leave the city." A voice came from the speakers around the city of Toronto.
"Everybody, this way! We gotta move!" An omnic civilian said directing omnics and humans through the alleyways of Toronto away from Null sector machines. The civilians jumped over a few trash cans running away from constant fire. The machine was adamant on chasing them down. They turned at the next junction and were jumped by another machine. The machine grabbed a hold of the omnics arm tightly. The sound of his metallic arm bending and breaking under that tight grasp.
The other survivors quickly picked up a few fallen debris from earlier explosions and threw them at the machine. Unfazed, the machine tossed the omnic to the side and raised its primary weapon, a laser rifle, at the remaining female survivor and omnic. The survivors took a few steps backwards in fear but felt their backs hit hard metal. They turned to find another large machine behind them. They were surrounded.
The large machine charged up its cannons to fire. With no hope left, the woman held her fellow omnic's hand and closed her eyes waiting for her end to come. The sound of an electric charge was heard overhead and she felt something wizz passed her. She opened her eyes to see the machine with a hole in its chest. The remaining Null Sector Robots were aiming at the roof of the building now. She looked up to find a person sliding down the rooftop and taking precise shots to take out the remaining machines.

Sojourn slid underneath the machines firing her weapons. She then charged up her rail gun and shot through multiple enemies. Once all the enemies in the vicinity were defeated, she assisted the injured omnic to his feet and turned to the remaining survivors.
"I'll give you points for courage. But it takes more than bricks to stop these things." She said, her cybernetic eyes glowing. "Head for the ferry terminal, it's the only way out. There are soldiers behind this building. Stick close to them." She pointed to the alleway that leads to the street.
As the survivors left, she was left alone in the snowy alleyway. It was quiet for now. The buildings around her were partly destroyed. The stores were abandoned with shattered glass. Her favourite halal shawarma street food was destroyed. The only thing left was its sign hanging from one side. The air felt cold, heavy, and it stung as she took a deep breath.
