breathless |A Powerless Fanfiction

Pae's POV

ever since Kai found out a maid was poisoning me he hasn't left me alone for even a second. he has been sleeping in the chair next to my bed, checking all my food before I eat and not letting anyone besides the healers talk to me. he has only left to go to the bathroom before rushing back in my room asking a million times if I am ok. sense he hasn't left my room he hasn't seen or talked to the maid who was poisoning me. I don't know or care who this maid Is. Kai is hot I can see why someone would poison his fiance so they could have him for themselves. that doesn't make it right but still. 

the healers said I could leave this  dark scary death room a few days ago but Kai said I should stay a few more days just to be safe. don't get me wrong I love how he is caring for me but it is getting a little annoying. it has been 2 weeks since we found out I was being poisoned and I am fine now. 

he is asleep in the chair next to my bed and I cannot sleep in this damn room again. he needs to sleep in a bed not a damn chair. I slowly lift the blankets off of me and I sit up. as soon as my head leaves the pillow he wakes up. 

"Pae what are you doing you need to be resting" he says standing up 

"how the fuck did you even know I was sitting up?"

"I just did" he tries to make me lay back down. 

"Kai" I stop him. "I am fine the healers said I am not sick anymore. I'm fine and I am tired of sleeping in this damn bed so please sit back on the chair because I was about to do something super romantic" 

he gives me a weird look before deciding he can't win this fight and he sits back on the chair. I get up off the bed and I move over to him sitting on his lap. my ear goes to his chest and I can hear his heart beat as I curl my legs up and he wraps his arms around me. one of his hands goes around me while the other one rests on my tight. he rests his cheek on the top of my head and holds me close. 

"this is nice" he whispers kissing the top of my head.

"I know" I whisper back.

after getting cleared by the healers for the fifth time, Kai finally said I could go back to my room. so now we are walking back to our rooms. his arm is around my waist and he is watching everyone who even looks at me very closely. 

"the first trial is in a week" he says as we walk "I am pissed that my brother is making you do it even though you almost died."

"I have almost died many times but I am still here" I say kissing his cheek. 

when we get to my room Jax is waiting there and he hugs me. I am surprised for a second but I hug him back. "what's this for?" I ask smiling 

"I am glad that you are ok but also thanks for the girl advice" he says pulling back from the hug.

"I can give you girl advice any time. so did you do it? kiss her?"

"yeah I did a few days ago and she told me that she hates her boyfriend  and she thinks I am handsome" 

"well you are handsome buddy... not as handsome as me though right Pae" Kai says opening my door. 

"yeah sure" I roll my eyes and Jax laughs as he walks back to his room.
