The Trials of a squire.

"Take this: Wheel of Fate!" I shouted, sending the wheel of light magic into the enemy. I could perform the attack without the incantation since it wasn't necessarily needed once one perfected their sword skills.

As the spell hit the large golem I was training against, it cleaved a hole through it, sending it to the afterlife. I gathered the magic stone to show Mika; however, what I did not expect to find was her practicing a secret skill known to only a few.

The skill, known as the Blade of Deathbit, is called the Miasmic Cleave.

'She's a black knight?' I thought to myself.

{Affirmative: it appears Mika has a dual sword magic class. She can use both holy knight sword skills and black knight sword skills. Based on her level, she seems to be SSS Tier rank,} chimed the system's A.I., code-named Victoria. She began to speak once I awakened the class of Martial Sage.

Fortunately, the sword magic class was held only on Saturdays. The rest of the week, I took other classes.

"Oh, Luke, I am glad you beat the golem," said Mika.

"Thanks! Anyway, let's begin training to learn how to use the sword spell Absolute Defense," she said.

After that, I spent the rest of the afternoon learning Absolute Defense, a protective sword spell that allowed me to create an invisible barrier tied to my sword that granted me the ability to parry anything that came within its reach.

The next day was martial arts training. Naturally, I began practicing martial arts skills with the master monk of the group, since I was now a Martial Sage.

Since I was Now A Martial Sage, I could use the skills of most Monks/sages. For those who are confused, A sage is a Healer who can use both light and dark combat magic while a monk is a fighter who can use either light and dark support magic or Chi Arts. Unlike a martial healer, these fighters specialize in enhancing themselves, or their parties with elemental buffs.
As I began my training I began by meditating near a waterfall.
Then my first task of training would begin.
The Monk told me to split the waterfall with my momentum using a single punch.
I focused my Mana and unleashed a powerful left uppercut that sent a blade of force pressure up the waterfall but only parted about a quarter of the way up.
" Do you not remember what I taught you? Focus your mind. Do not rely on your mana or strength alone," said the Monk.
I tried again. This time, I concentrated my thoughts on parting the water down to the tiniest molecule.
" ORYAAAH!" I shouted as I let out a powerful Uppercut that not only parted the water but reversed the Flow and generated a void in the air, creating a small Tornado.
" I did it!" I cheered.
" Very good lad, now let's begin training you to learn Proper combat training," said the Monk.
The Monk began having me learn how to stand on poles, learning to have a foothold on the poles for an hour. He made me practice the rhythmic footwork technique by having me balance on a bucket while he made rice cakes in it. This would involve me stepping, Hoping ping, and maneuvering over his arms as he smashed the noodles into the cake.
After this, I was asked to demonstrate my skills. I began with the Seiryuu-beam, which was a powerful Blast of Violet energy from my hands that split the ground from its force alone.
When I did the thunderbolt breaker, a powerful Lightning blast gathered in my hands, and Winds picked up around me before I blasted the target with the lightning bolt, which took the shape of a Ball of lightning that hit the enemy in an explosion and racked their body with electric bursts.
" Okay, now Dimensional Expansion!" I said, creating a Dimension that took me and my enemy to what appeared to be a mountaintop full of monkeys. Little did I know this was the legendary flower fruit mountain home of the legendary Saru-Isshi.
" Now, finally, Divine Aura!" I said generating a Red flaming aura around myself which increased my speed and power tenfold gave me temporary invulnerability and made it impossible for people to resist my strikes simply put I was untouchable and unstoppable
I dashed forward, attacking the monk, and sending him flying thirty feet away. I landed a powered Uppercut, which lifted him into the air before using a sky Uppercut to juggle him. Then I landed a 540-degree roundhouse kick to send him into a wall.
But the monk wasn't even trying he came at me and landed a powerful straight punch to my gut although I couldn't feel the pain I could tell that would've ended the fight then and there it didn't help that even though it was a simple straight punch it erupted in golden light due to the monk's mastery of Ki, and then the monk attacked me with one of his secret moves the octane blast, this attack would've killed me if not for my invulnerability.
The monk delivered a powerful punch that hit me with such force it created a sonic blast wave.
My dimensional expansion was canceled.
" WOAH! What an amazing attack master! Can you teach me," I asked.
Wei laughed clearly amused at my interest in the skill.
" Sorry kid but you'll have to earn the chance to learn Octane Blast however I can teach you a similar technique called Force punch," he said.
And so I began to learn Force punch apparently Force punch was a more simplified version of Octane blast and it used less energy and caused less strain on the body, it revolved around gathering ones energy into their fist and releasing it at a certain moment in fact the training I had been doing was to learn that move.
He had me practice with him on how to use it at any given moment focusing on teaching me how to attack and defend in synchronized order with a Training called Meotoude it was similar to the sword and shield method of my dragon fist technique.
Eventually I managed to get the upper hand on wei and landed a force punch to his solar plexus with a Leopard paw strike.
"BOOM!"
the attack hit with enough force to create a small force blast but not as powerful as the Octain Blast.
" Good job," he said with a smile.
Sometime later I was in the archery range with Max 'the eagle eye' Silverman he had the ability to shoot down most enemies even without using his eyes this was due to a mutation in the cornea of his eyes giving him 30x's the most powerful vision in history, this he would always wear a cloth over his eyes.
He was a skilled archer with a magic Pistol yes I said pistol despite Archery being mostly done with a bow and arrow he uses a pistol with magic bullets.
He had me try out the weapon on some minor monsters like skeletons and slimes I was surprised to find the Pistol was actually a lot more difficult to use than a sword or a knife this was due to the recoil and the level of aiming your supposed to keep the gun straight and hold a firm stance in a triangle position.
After a couple of rounds with it I managed to shoot down the skeletons and at the end of the training was rewarded with the pistol and to my surprise every monster I shot down was turned into a bullet.
Some bullets were red which had a fire effect, some were blue with a freezing effect, and some were purple with a blinding effect however the white bullets were the kicker since they had a healing effect.
After this I had lunch and began to study Astronomy and Cartography.
After the weekend was over I went back to studying at the academy.

-later that night-

I was in my room allocating my skill points while I added a new job class to my repertoire swordsmen with this and my training I could now use the special skills of a swordsman for now I focused on the six fundamental skills and passives Earth Cleave, Wind Cleave, Water Cleave, Rhythmatic footwork, counter parry, and chain link.
I had also earned a knew overall passive called Shadow Strike: which allows me to attack my opponents with an indirect attack after making contact with them.
I decided to focus on mastering the sword skills I had learned from lady Mikasa.
Whenever I was finished I was approached by Minerva.
" Oh hey miner-guh," I grunted as she kicked me In the gut.
I looked up to see she had cold lifeless eyes as if she were under a Trance.
Minerva drew her sword.
" Minerva, What's going on," I asked.
Minerva slowly stalked me and then my system chimed in.
{It appears she is under hypnosis master,}
' Oh you don't say, here's a question genius how do I get her out of it,' I asked.
{Analyzing weakness,}
{ She can be freed with true loves kiss,}
'...wait a minute, What?'
{ You have to pucker up and close your eyes and then she began free as the saying flies,}
' oh I hope this isn't a joke,' I thought.
I closed in the distance using the footwork of Bagua-Zhang that Wei-shūn had me practice.
I turned my left toe to my right heel, then my right foot outward stepped Around and swept her legs out from under her before catching her and kissing her lips.
Minerva's eyes widened and she slowly opened her eyes realizing what was going on.
I let her go.
" Sir Luke, I didn't know that you were here in Master Vanderbilt's laboratory?" She asked, " wait where are we," asked Minerva.
" In the academy hallway," i informed her, "take me to meet this Master Vanderbilt," I asked

I've been working on this chapter for a while now so yeah I've introduced a new villain or should I say the first villain of this story, Vanderbilt the alchemist he's going to be very important for Luke to progress nuff said.
