A/N: this is not proofread so if it's shit I'm sorry.
A few hours later we sit in an abandoned building that was converted into a CIA base. We stared at Klaue through the one way window as he started making kissy faces at us. I grimace in disgust, not humored by his antics.
"So this is a big mess, huh?" Ross says, coming up to stand beside us. "I figured we could go good cop, bad cop. I'll talk to him first, then you guys go in."
Okoye started to speak to in a foreign language to T'challa with all seriousness. He only smirked, before speaking in the same language.
"After your questioning," T'challa now spoke in English, "we will take him back to Wakanda with us."
"What? No," Ross quickly shut down. "Look, I like you, a lot. But he's in my custody now. He's not going anywhere." We all looked at him in disbelief. "Listen, I'm doing you guys a favor by letting you even be here." He hit T'challa on the shoulder.
Okoye started speaking in a forge in langauge again and I couldn't help but let out a small smirk. I couldn't understand what she was saying, but I knew it was a death threat of some kind.
"Does she speak English?" Ross asks us.
"When she wants to," Okoye answered.
"Huh," Ross said. "I'm going in. And when I'm done, you guys are up."
"Agent Ross," T'challa spoke up.
"Yeah?" he acknowledged him.
"I do appreciate your help in Busan," T'challa appreciated.
"You see that?" Ross asked Okoye, the silent insult going through his voice. "It's called diplomacy. You're welcome."
He turned around, opening the door to the interrogation room. As soon as he did, the sound of Klaue's singing escaped from the room.
"Okoye," T'challa scolded and she scoffed. "Play nice."
I couldn't help but laugh at the pair of them. Pietro's hand slid around my waist.
"Americans," Okoye responded.
"Hey!" I say, slightly offended.
"Not you," she smiled and I grinned back at her. "You're the only one I like."
We watched Ross sit down in the chair across from Klaue and we each put on the devices that allowed us to hear the conversation inside.
"You know, you really shouldn't trust the Wakandans," Klaue told him. "Or those two little freaky voodoo people out there." I avoided in disbelief.
"I'm not a freaky voodoo person," I say and Pietro gives me a look, raising his eyebrow. I swat his arm and he flinches back before smirking.
"I don't trust anybody," Ross replied, "not in this job. But what I am interested in is that arm cannon out there. Where'd you get that?"
"It's an old mining tool that I made something adjustments to," Klaue answered him, very willing to give up the information. "I can get you one, if you like."
"Why don't you give me the name of your supplier, and i'll ask them," Ross demanded.
"He's right outside," Klaue told him and I glanced over to T'challa. "Why don't you ask him yourself?"
"What? T'challa," Ross scoffed, not buying it. "You're telling me that weapon on your arm is from Wakanda.
"Bingo," Klaue said. "What do you actually know about Wakanda?"
"Um... Shepards, textiles, cool outfits," Ross answered.
"It's all a front," Klaue revealed and I started to get nervous now. "Explorers searched for it for centuries. El Dorado, the Golden City. They thought they could find it in South America... but it was in Africa the whole time. A technological marvel. All because it was built on a mound of the most valuable metal known to man. Isipho, they call it. The gift. Vibranium."
"Vibranium, yeah, strongest metal of earth," Ross still disbelieved.
"It's not just a metal," Klaue said. "They see it into their clothes. It powers their city, their tech... their weapons."
"Weapons?" Ross asked, now intrigued.
"Yeah," Klaue chuckled. "Makes my arm cannon look like a leaf blower."
"That's a nice fairytale," Ross said, but Wakanda is a third world country... and you stole all their vibranium."
Klaue started laughing uncontrollably. "I stole... All of it?" He started to get aggressive now. "I took a tiny piece of it. They have a mountain full of it. They've been mining it for thousands of years... and they still haven't scratched the surface. I'm the only outside who's seen it and got out of there alive."
I glance over to T'challa as he walks away, Okoye following him. I stay put, gripping Pietro's hand tightly.
"If you don't believe me," Klaue continued, "you ask your friend what his suit is made of. What his claws are made of."
Ross looked to the window, contemplating, before picking up his coffee and exiting the room.
"Your father told the UN... that Klaue stole all the vibranium you had." Ross started. "But now he's telling me you have more."
"And you believe the word of an arms dealer strapped to a chair?" T'challa asked him.
"How much more are you hiding?" Ross questioned, but Nakia quickly burst into the room, startling us all. She started to speak in a language i didn't understand, but before she could finished, a wall in the interrogation room blew up. People ran through the hole and stated shooting.
Pietro quickly zipped us away to the farthest wall, shielding my body with his. I put up a shield around us for extra precaution. They guns fired rapidly making my ears ring. When the shooting stopped, I peeked out from behind Pietro, seeing the chaos before us.
Ross was shot.
T'challa and Okoye quickly ran back inside after trying to pursue the shooters. I rush over to kneel before Ross, using my powers the take the bullet out. I sealed up the wound as best I could, but it won't hold for long.
"He just jumped in front of me," Nakia explained as she kneeled over Ross, whose breathing was labored. "I don't think he'll make it here. It hit his spine."
"Give me a Kimoyo Bead," T'challa ordered and Nakia gave it to him. He placed it on the wound to stabilize it more. "This will stabilize him for now. Give him to us. We can save him."
