Jake raised an eyebrow. "We're good. Thanks, though."

Jungwon nodded but hesitated, glancing between the two. "Wait, isn't this room supposed to have two beds?"

Minjae groaned dramatically, throwing her hands up. "Exactly! Tell that to whoever booked this disaster!"

Jake just sighed, running a hand through his hair. "We'll survive, Jungwon. Go back to your room."

"Right, right," Jungwon said, grinning. "Good luck, you two. Don't kill each other."

Minjae shut the door with a sigh, turning back to see Jake smirking at her. "You heard him," he said, crossing his arms. "No murder allowed."

Minjae smirked back, shaking her head. "We'll see."

As he lay down that night, feeling the warmth of Minjae's presence beside him, he couldn't help but feel a little too aware of the space—or lack thereof—between them. He could hear her soft breathing and, once in a while, feel her arm brush against his own as she shifted.

At one point, she muttered something in her sleep, her voice a quiet, sleepy mumble that made him smile despite himself. He lay there staring at the ceiling, oddly comforted and a little amused. It wasn't exactly how he'd pictured his first trip with Minjae, but as he closed his eyes, he couldn't help but think that maybe this wasn't so bad after all.

Jake lay in the dark, still wide awake as the soft sound of Minjae's breathing filled the room. Despite his earlier bravado, he couldn't shake the odd awareness he felt lying so close to her. He shifted slightly, trying to find a comfortable position, when he noticed Minjae shiver beside him.

A faint chill lingered in the room, and he realized she'd pulled her blanket around herself tightly, but it didn't seem to be doing much. She shivered again, pulling her knees up a little closer to her chest, curling up instinctively for warmth. Jake's gaze softened as he watched her, worry tugging at him.

Jake frowned at the faint chill in the room and glanced over at Minjae again. She shivered, tugging her blanket higher as if it might magically fix the problem. A soft sigh escaped her lips, and he felt his chest tighten a little at how small and uncomfortable she looked.

He sat up quietly, scanning the room for an extra blanket, but there was nothing. Running a hand through his hair, he hesitated, unsure what to do. Finally, he leaned closer and whispered, "Hey, Minjae," his voice low and soft.

She stirred faintly, her brow furrowing, but she didn't fully wake up. He tried again, gently nudging her shoulder. "Minjae. You're cold—wake up and fix your blanket or something."

"Mm...don't wanna," she mumbled, her voice thick with sleep. Before Jake could react, she shifted closer to him, her head now resting lightly against his arm. Instinctively, he froze, staring at the top of her head as if it might suddenly explode.
