Asking for Trouble

LIM JUKYUNG!!!", a familiar voice screamed her name. Before Jukyung's brain could register who it was, someone gave her a surprise hug.

"Sooah...", Jukyung smiled, realizing that it was her high school best friend.

"I miss you...why did you never come back here??", she pouted.

"I'm sorry...I've been busy...", busy avoiding her mom because she kept asking about her fake boyfriend. Jukyung smiled sheepishly. "I miss you two...how-"

Jukyung stops herself when she realizes Sooah didn't listen to her anymore. She's gaping at Minjoon. "Woah...who is he? Is he single?"

"This is Minjoon...um...my boyfriend...", Jukyung gulps. Getting more aware that they're playing-pretend right now. "Minjoon, this is Soo Ah, my best friend..."

"Pleasure to meet you...", Minjoon smiles.

"Oh, God, his voice...makes my knees weak...", Soo Ah blurts out.

"Okay enough drolling at my man!", Jukyung starts getting jealous with the way Soo Ah staring at Minjoon. Not even realizing how Minjoon's lips curl up into a smile when she called him, her man.

"Sorry...", Soo Ah smiles sheepishly. "Let's get inside!", she drags Jukyung to the crowd.

Minjoon follows them behind and grabs a drink when a waitress pass by.

"Where did you find him?" Soo Ah whispered. "He's so fine...."

"Of course he is...he's mine...", Jukyung smiles proudly.

Minjoon drinks his cocktail to hide his smile. Because those two clearly need to realize that their whispering is too loud to even call it a whisper.

"Did you order him in an app or something??"

Minjoon is choking on his drink because of Soo Ah's question. And he can't stop coughing.

"Yaa....be carefull...", Jukyung pats his back gently. "She's just joking..."

"Of course I was joking...if I can order a man from an app, I wont be single right now...", Soo Ah laughs. Oblivious with two nervous fake couple next to her.

Jukyung and Minjoon laughs awkwardly.

"Where's Taehoon...He came, didnt he?", Jukyung asked about Soo Ah's ex-boyfriend. While she tried to change the subject.

"Yes...he was around greeting every person he knew...and that means EVERYONE...", Soo Ah rolls her eyes.

Jukyung chuckles. "He doesnt change..."

"So does Suho..."

"Huh?" Jukyung thought she had misheard that name.

"Suho...have you heard anything from him? He kept asking about you..."

Jukyung shakes her head. She steals a glance at Minjoon, who's been sipping his drink quietly. Wondering if he heard that. But he seems pretty chill. Either he didnt hear it, or even if he did, it didnt affect him. At all.

Of course he didnt care. Why would he? Jukyung sighs.

"Yaa...", Soo Ah nudges Jukyung.

"Huh?"

"Don't tell me you still love him...", Soo Ah whispers.

"I-"

"I need to make a phone call...", Jukyung was going to answer Soo Ah's question but Minjoon cut her of.

"Yeah s-", Minjoon left without waiting for Jukyung to finish her sentence. "Was he mad?", Jukyung frowns. Mumbling to herself.

"Sorry...", Soo Ah shrugs. "I shouldnt talk about Suho..."
