A Wife, a Sister

As Drew didn't bother himself to show for dinner and wasn't yet back home , Karen decided that she would join Aiden for his bath time having nothing else to do for the rest of the night.

She ran a bath for the two of them , he was left in his crib with a pacifier in his mouth and what she thought were his favourite cartoons to keep him entertained.

Karen felt the temperature of the water as it filled , it wasn't too hot or too cold... she placed his water toys inside along with his swim ring so he can float a bit inside with her.

" hi mommy man" she cooed picking him up from his crib,

Karen placed him on his changing table so she can get him out his clothes , Aiden made little baby sounds as his mother tended to him which Karen would respond to.

"Don't you pee in my water little boy" Karen said as Aiden floated inside the water with his floatie around him while Karen washed up.

He was 3 months, a little big for his age which she figured was her and Aaron's combined fault since she was a little on the heavy side and he was a huge man.

After she was done with her body, Karen held Aiden playing with him a little in the water, he was smiling and would give her tiny baby laughs.

"You're my everything Adini weeny" she coed looking at his tiny face, as he smiled with his hand in his mouth.

"Yes you are" she smiled back at him then kissed all over his chubby face.

"Your father gave you his big ass ears didn't he?" She joked with him in a coe as she cleaned behind them, he indeed had Aaron's big ears, he was his father's son but she knew no one would ever connect the two.

Feeling like he was in the water for long enough , Karen rinsed him after she got out, then took him out and she got the two of them ready for bed,

Once she lotioned him down massaging his body , Aiden fell right to sleep and Karen finished dressing him then she placed him inside his crib.

The woman went back to the bathroom so she would clean it up, she herself wished she would immediately get to bed, so she made sure to be quick cleaning the bathroom and getting herself dressed.

After she got finished with everything , Karen decided to head into his nursery to check on him one last time and as she got there she was surprised to see Drew sitting on the rocking chair with Aiden in his arms.

"Uhm... hey honey" Karen said softly.

Drew kept his eyes on Aiden avoiding Karen , she started feeling a bit of unease at the sight... her husband never held Aiden willingly after he found out he wasn't his son.

He only showed him love when around people, at church , around her sisters- who they didn't take too well finding out from Drew making it an announcement at the church that they had assistance when it came to the birth of their son.

The route that he took , making it seem like he was the problem in their fertility journey to the community was a testament to the lengths that Drew was willing to take to keep Karen with him.

No man would admit that his seed was the problem when it wasn't... he was perfectly fine and his wife was the one who had complications when it came to her womb, Aiden was her miracle baby.

But he made a lie about that so the public wouldn't know that he was cheated on- that his marriage wasn't perfect.

It was an even more difficult life they were living now, he micromanaged everything she did when he was around and Karen couldn't leave when he wasn't.
