Here you were, back only a few hours later for your next shift. Another note was posted on the door written in Dave's familiar handwriting.

Please complete the following:
Routine maintenance on Circus Baby

Easy, this shouldn't take long, you can get to helping Freddy afterwards.

You input the code into the door and enter the building again. It still manages to amaze you how dramatically different the atmosphere is at night... You kept walking, looking for Circus Baby. You checked Circus Gallery, Funtime Auditorium, Ballora Gallery.... A lot of places. Eventually you landed yourself in Parts and Service, deciding if you couldn't find Baby you'd just fix Freddy.

But there she was.

Sitting on the conveyer, slumped over with blacked out eyes. You probably should've checked here earlier... You sighed and got the tools you'd need and laid them on the conveyer along side Baby and reached for her chest.

You screamed as she suddenly grabbed your arm and opened her face plates, revealing wires and mechanical parts.

"I scared you, didn't I?" She asked in her whisper-like voice. You gave a quick nod as she sat up straight with a friendly smile. "I'm sorry, I couldn't resist..." She admitted, opening her chest for you.

"I thought you were deactivated..." You mumbled, slightly confused by what just happened. Baby smiled and gave a quiet laugh, shaking her head, "I just like to pretend..." You looked back up at her as she spoke, "What do you mean?" You asked as you began maintenance.

"I enjoy it... pretend to be one way, when you are really the other... It's just something that makes me happy," she keeps her gaze on you as you work, watching your movements.

"I get it, I used to love make believe..." Circus Baby's smile seems to falter slightly at your words, but only for a moment. "I'm very good at it," she says proudly. You give her a nod, "Do you play make believe with the others?" Circus Baby huffed, pouting a little, "Yes, but they aren't very good at it." She rolled her eyes, you weren't sure what she meant but you figured it was better not to ask.

Soon enough, routine maintenance was done, you were finished with your task and now, you could visit Freddy. As Circus Baby left, you realized you hadn't yet asked about any other way out... Maybe later. You sighed, grabbing the few tools you'd probably need to fix Freddy before leaving.

You entered the Breaker Room after finding it to be unlocked this time. Freddy was again on his stage, lying down in a ball completely powered off. You sat down on the edge of the stage and gently shook him, calling his name quietly until he slowly sat up. He looked both happy and somewhat dissatisfied to see you.

"Y/N... I already told- told you that it was dangerous here..." You slid closer to him, opening his chest and grabbing the screwdriver you'd brought, "And I already told you that I am getting you out of here." He remarked, a smug grin spreading over your face. Freddy huffed and reluctantly let you work.

As you worked, something came to mind... Those messages; the messages Freddy had sent you via binary code telling you to come here and accept the business opportunity... You looked at him, opening your mouth to press him for information as he looked back at you. His gentle, light blue eyes starring into yours... Your mouth hung open for a moment, the words caught in your throat. You looked down back at the machinery inside him as you tried to rethink what you were going to say.

"Those messages you sent me..." You sighed, "Why'd you tell me that stuff?" Freddy looked at you, giving you an aggravated stare, "Because Cup- Cupcake! This place isn't safe!" He growled, not knowing what was so hard to understand. You shook your head, "That's not what you said in that last messages..." Freddy's face turned from frustration to confusion, "What- what are you talking about?" You narrowed your eyes, trying to decide if he was fucking with you.

"You don't remember?" You say the screwdriver down. Freddy clenched his teeth, "No I don't remember! I never said anything- thing like that! Why would I tell you to come here?!" His voice got louder the more upset he got. You gave a silent nod, "You wouldn't tell me to come here..." Something here wasn't making sense. That messaging software was only accessible through your computer or Freddy's systems, and you knew your parents wouldn't understand binary, especially not how to convert it...

You didn't say anymore as you continued fixing him. Eventually, Freddy calmed down, rather enjoying the comfortable silence. He gently put his hand on the top of your head, gently petting you the way you normally did to him. He was extremely gentle as he did ran his head through your hair. "Thank you..." He said quietly, his voice sounding a lot clearer thanks to your hard work. You weren't quite done yet, but the important things had been mostly taken care of.

"You're welcome..." You shut his chest gently and got up from your knees. Freddy swiftly pulled you back down, making you fall into his lap with a soft thud. He wrapped his arms around you, pressing his face against yours. You had to admit, you really missed spending time with Freddy. You relaxed into his touch, even though he wasn't plush and soft anymore, being in his arms felt great as always... You shut your eyes, and Freddy slowly laid himself back down in the stage, allowing you to rest on top of his chest.

As you kept yourself pressed against him, Freddy noticed the faint rhythm of your heartbeat. He held you tighter, feeling the gentle pulse against his metal body. He'd missed you more than you could ever understand... As you started to fall asleep, Freddy closed his eyes so the flashes from various sparks wouldn't bother him, that's why he didn't notice when the camera in the corner of the room had switched on.
