A family bounded from different worlds by love

It had been two months ever since Sonic's fifteenth birthday, today was October the thirty-first, Halloween.

Sonic, who was wearing his original gloves and sneakers, and the other mobians didn't understand what Halloween is, but they were curious to know.

"I wonder what this Halloween is about?" Tails questioned as he tries to repair the old Tornado, which was hidden behind the house.

"What are you going on about?" Maria asked.

"Uh... we're trying to figure out what Halloween is." Sonic answered.

"Oh, you haven't heard?!"

The other mobians shook their heads.

The blond hedgehog sighed. "It's an Earth custom from years ago to today, a holiday. You get to dress up in costumes and get candy from others as Trick or Treaters."

"Uh... I don't think we can go out in Green Hills like this." Tails said.

"Really?"

"Uh...yeah. We're literally aliens from another planet." Sonic said. "But, uh, you use to be a human, so....yeah."

"I love the dressing up part!" Amy said. "It sounds like a great idea!"

"If we WEREN'T mobians, Ames." Sonic pointed out.

"Still, it'd be nice to dress up as something." Tails said.

"It sounds like fun!" Cream said and then turns to Cheese. "Right Cheese?"

"Chao! Chao!" the chao cheered.

Sonic sighed. "Well, I kinda wish we weren't mobians, so we'd fit in just fine."

"Bringing them around Green Hills for trick or treating? Tom, how would they-?"

"Maddie, just hearing Maria mentioning Halloween to Sonic and the others makes them want to go. So we should let them."

"Alright..."

"What's going on here?" they heard Sonic pipe up as Tom and Maddie turned to see him and the others.

"Hey, bud. How'd you feel like trick or treating today?" The sheriff asked.

"What!? Y-You're seriously letting us off for Halloween!?"

"Of course we are."

This made Maria, Cream, Cheese and Amy excited.

"Wow.... I'm surprised you're now letting us. Thanks Tom." Tails said.

A bit later, the mobians got into their costumes. Tails was a mad scientist, Maria was a black cat, Cream was a witch, Amy was wearing gothic clothing and Sonic was dressed up as a vampire.

"Uh... I'm not sure if this suits me. I mean, These teeth are actually crazy." the blue hedgehog said as they went outside.

"You'll be fine, Sonic. Nothing can go wrong." Maddie reassured him.

"You'd jinx it if Eggman attacked, mom. But...I guess you're right."

"Where are we going?" Amy asked. "Aren't we going trick or treating?"

"We're going to a haunted attraction first, just to celebrate Halloween together." Tom said.

"Haunted?" Tails asked. "As in....some things that you're about to be scared of?"

"Yep. That's the one, Tails."

"But what if there's ghosts!?"

"There's no such things as ghosts, Tails. Don't worry."
