It's started snowing a lot recently, and Jermaine calls you early in the morning, insisting you come outside to enjoy it. Bundled up in scarves and hats, you meet him at the park, where everything is blanketed in soft white snow.
"Race you to the hill!" he exclaims, already taking off toward the sledding hill with a laugh. You hurry to catch up, both of you breathless and giggling by the time you reach the top.
Jermaine hands you a sled, and you both sit down, laughing as you push off together. The sled zips down the hill, snow spraying in your faces as you both shriek with laughter. When you reach the bottom, you collapse onto the snow, breathless and grinning.
"Alright, snowman time," he declares, gathering a handful of snow. You work together, rolling and stacking the snow until you've created a snowman, complete with a carrot nose and a scarf. Jermaine grabs a twig, carefully drawing a smile on the snowman's face. "There. Perfect," he says, brushing snow off his gloves.
You look at him, cheeks flushed, eyes bright with laughter. "It's the best snowman I've ever seen."
Jermaine looks back at you, his smile softening as he notices the snowflakes caught in your hair. Without thinking, he reaches out, brushing one away gently, his hand lingering. "You look really pretty today," he says quietly, his voice full of warmth. Oh goodness...
Your cheeks grow even warmer, and you smile, feeling a flutter in your heart as you meet his gaze.
Just then, a soft breeze swirls around you, and a few snowflakes drift down from the sky, landing on your nose. You giggle, trying to brush them away, but Jermaine is quick to catch your hand, his touch sending a delightful shiver through you.
"Hey, let's take a picture to remember this," he suggests, his eyes sparkling with excitement. He pulls out his camera, setting it against a tree while starting the timer, and gestures for you to stand next to the snowman. "Say 'snow!'"
He quickly runs to stand next to you before the timer goes off. You both pose, arms around each other, and as the camera clicks, you can't help but grin, feeling a surge of happiness. When the photo develops, you both lean in to see it, laughing at how silly the snowman looks with its crooked smile.
"Looks like he's ready to dance!" Jermaine jokes, doing a little shimmy next to the snowman, and you burst into laughter, the sound ringing through the air.
As the laughter fades, the warmth of the moment lingers between you, and for a heartbeat, everything feels perfect. Jermaine turns serious for a moment, looking deeply into your eyes. "I'm really glad you're here with me. You make everything more fun," he says softly, the sincerity in his voice making your heart race.
"Thanks, Jermaine," you reply, feeling your cheeks warm again. "I feel the same way."
He smiles, and the world around you seems to fade away, leaving just the two of you, standing together in your winter wonderland, surrounded by snow and laughter. It's a moment you wish could last forever.
"Come on, let's make some more snowballs," he says, breaking the moment, and you nod eagerly, ready to enjoy every second of this magical day with him.
