The car screeched around a corner, the city blurring past the windows. Yoongi's grip on the steering wheel tightened as he pushed the car faster, glancing at Yoona out of the corner of his eye. Her face was pale, lips pressed into a hard line as she tried to steady her breathing. The tension between them was thick, both aware that this night wasn't over yet.
"They won't stop," Yoona muttered, breaking the silence. Her voice was laced with frustration, but also something more vulnerable—fear. "Whoever sent them, they won't stop until they get what they want."
Yoongi didn't respond right away. His jaw clenched as his mind worked furiously to come up with a plan. He hated seeing her like this—cornered, vulnerable. For years, Yoona had been the one person he knew would never bend, never break. And now, she was a target.
"They'll have to go through me first," he finally said, his voice cold, resolute. "And I don't plan on making it easy for them."
Yoona turned her head, her eyes locking onto his. There was something different about him tonight, something raw and protective she hadn't seen before. Despite everything between them—the blood, the rivalry, the betrayals—there was an unspoken trust forming, one that made her chest tighten in ways she didn't want to acknowledge.
"We need to figure out who's pulling the strings," she said, forcing herself to focus on the task at hand. "They've been after both of us for a while, but this... this is personal."
Yoongi nodded, his mind already working through the possibilities. The families who wanted control of the city had always been there, lurking in the shadows, waiting for a moment of weakness. But the hit on Yoona, and now this full-on attack, meant someone was making a move.
"We'll go to the warehouse," Yoongi said after a moment. "I have resources there. People we can trust. We'll regroup and plan our next move."
Yoona didn't argue. She was too exhausted, both physically and emotionally, to fight him on it. And the truth was, she didn't have any better ideas. Right now, all she wanted was to stop running.

The warehouse was quiet when they arrived, the surrounding streets dark and empty. Yoongi parked the car around the back, motioning for Yoona to stay close as they made their way inside. The air was thick with tension as they entered the main room, the sound of their footsteps echoing in the vast space.
Inside, several of Yoongi's most trusted men were already waiting, along with a few members of Yoona's crew. Jisoo stood at the front, her arms crossed over her chest, her expression unreadable as she watched them approach.
"What the hell happened?" Jisoo asked, her eyes narrowing as she looked between Yoongi and Yoona. "We got word of the attack, but it's worse than we thought, isn't it?"
Yoongi nodded grimly. "They were waiting for us at her place. We barely made it out."
Jisoo's jaw tightened, and she turned her gaze to Yoona. "You okay?"
Yoona nodded, though her body still ached from the strain of the escape. "I'm fine. But we need to figure out who's behind this, and fast."
As they spoke, Namjoon stepped forward, holding a tablet with several reports pulled up. "We've been tracking movements from the other families," he explained. "They've been quiet up until now, but in the last 48 hours, there's been a significant increase in activity. Someone's mobilizing, and it's big."
Yoongi glanced at the screen, his eyes narrowing. "Do we know which family is leading the charge?"
Namjoon hesitated, his expression darkening. "We think it's the Park family. They've been keeping a low profile for years, but we've seen signs they're gearing up for something. They've been buying up small arms and gathering alliances in the underworld."
