The group gathered around a table laden with food, the flickering screen in the corner momentarily forgotten as they dug into the unexpected feast following the strange announcement, each person lost in thought. The mingling scents of grilled meat, roasted vegetables, and a faint touch of spice gave the room an odd, homely warmth, at odds with the quiet tension in the air.

Despite the recent revelations about the Hunters and fighting in other dimensions weighing heavily on them, the mood lightened as they tried to distract themselves with food and idle conversation.

Cale sat slouched at the long, weathered dining table, absently picking at the food in front of him. Around him, conversation drifted, but his focus remained elsewhere—thinking of what they didn't know, and what he wished they'd never have to learn.

Jack whose voice was barely above a murmur and laced with unease asked what everyone wanted to ask.

"These Hunters... they target humans called single-lifers? Then what is their purpose?" He exchanged a glance with his sister, Hannah, who gave a grim nod.

Lock's brows furrowed as he looked between the others. "But... what exactly is a single-lifer? Is it like the White Star...?"

Cale, who had remained mostly silent, spoke up, his tone calm and steady. "Single-lifers are those who don't reincarnate after death. Most beings are reborn in some form, but certain exceptions exist. The White Star, for example, is a reincarnator, reborn with memories of past lives. But single-lifers... they're different." His gaze briefly shifted toward the others, each listening intently. "Single-lifers live only one life, and after death, they may ascend to a god-like status due to their great power. This makes them highly sought after.

As he finished, Cale's gaze drifted to Choi Han, who met his eyes with a faint, knowing smile.

A wordless conversation was exchanged between them that only they could fully understand.

Litana's voice broke the brief silence, her tone carrying a note of wary curiosity. "But... why is it necessary to kill the Hunters?"

"Because if we don't," Cale's voice grew darker, "they'll only grow stronger and more dangerous. We need to take them down before they become a threat we can't face."

[Perhaps you would all like to know more about the unique expectations like reincarnators, single-lifers, and hunters?] the mysterious voice offered in an oddly calm tone, slipping into their conversation smoothly before falling silent again.

The group exchanged brief glances, their interest piqued. Each gave a short nod of agreement, eager to understand the mysteries surrounding the Hunters' and other strange 'expectations'.

"Yes," Rosalyn murmured, her eyes sharp with curiosity.

"Please, do tell us," Eruhaben said, his tone neutral but with a spark of interest.

[Later on then.]

Satisfied with their response, the mysterious voice faded for now.

Meanwhile, Inside Cale's mind, the familiar voices of the Ancient Powers stirred.

-Not like we'd let you face that alone, the Indestructible Shield grumbled.

-Precisely, we're here, right along with you. The Super Rock added, calm and steady.

-Bring on those Hunters, and we'll burn 'em to dust! The cheapskate cheered eagerly, the fire of destruction in his voice unmistakable.

-I'll just... XXX their XXX and XXX, the Crazy Kid chimed in, full of chaotic energy, her words not exactly polite.
