To See You Again

Giyuu didn't realize just how much he missed his sisters cooking.

He missed how she would fluff the rice perfectly.. he missed how she would always cook the fish perfectly.. Nothing is perfect, but Tsutako cooking is.

After dinner Giyuu offered to do the dishes while Tsutako prepared his bath, (Despite the fact he was perfectly capable of doing it himself!) according to her, he was still in recovery.. even after 3 whole days! How is he supposed to get anything done if she is peering over his shoulder everywhere he goes?... Giyuu must have been thinking a little too hard because he ended up breaking a bowl, getting glass all over himself.

Almost immediately Tsutako was knelt down in front of Giyuu, using a white towel to stop the bleeding. All Giyuu could do was stare at her as she cleaned and bandaged his hands, he didn't even realize he was crying until she was wiping his tears with her thumb.'

It was a bit embarrassing, crying as a 25 year old man.. well technically he was 12 now.. maybe being put into a younger body made his emotions stronger, because he would never cry over cut hands, not after what he went through in his last life.

..."See? Its all better right, Giyuu?"

Tsutako tries to comfort Giyuu, kissing his hands.

"No need to cry anymore, okay? You look so tired, I think you're still weak from the accident.. how about you go straight to bed? Forget taking a bath, go to sleep."

Giyuu couldn't find anything in him to protest, he just nods weakly and goes to his room. Not surprisingly, he falls asleep almost instantly.

The next morning Giyuu nearly had a heart attack when he awoke to Tsutakos face mere inches away from his.

"Sister! You... you don't have to watch me sleep! Im fine!"

Tsutakos smile doesn't even falter when he yells, it just grows wider.

"Giyuu! I wasn't watching you sleep, honest! I was waiting for you to wake up.. new merchants have set up stands in town, I want to take you with me to go see them! Hurry, hurry, get dressed!"

Walking through the town brought many memories back.

He remembers walking next to his parents, holding both of their hands and begging for them to buy him candy or a new trinket.. Unlike then, he was holding his sisters hand, not begging for anything.

As they walked, he let his mind wander.

His plan was simple- Run away when Tsutako is distracted, so then in a week she wont die because she wont be protecting him from that demon! Then, he goes onto the mountain and looks for Urokodaki-san.. However, he would be a couple months earlier than before.. and running away would cause his sister so much distress... But its for good! He was doing this to save her! He was doing this to save everyone! If making his sister a little anxious was the price, even if he felt bad, she would have to make do with it. And it wasnt like he was leaving forever.. just until he does his part.

He snaps out of his trance when his sister stops holding his hand to wave to somebody, Giyuu turns to see who it was-

His sisters Fiance... Sousuke Haru... hes pretty sure was his name.

Giyuu remembers how Harus mother would play with him, how Haru himself would make excuses to buy things for him.. He saw Haru as a brother, which is why he felt so guilty seeing him again.

In his past life, before Giyuu was sent to his distant relatives home, he said he hated Haru because he "moved on" so quickly, since he was engaged to a new woman just a month after Tsutako died.. he knew then that it was Harus father who arranged Haru to marry another quickly, but he still said it.

Now, Giyuu just watches as his sister talks happily with Haru, how she blushed when he rearranged a strand of hair on her face.

In this life, Giyuu hopes he can save Tsutako; so this can be everyday for her, her face turning pink as her husband fixes her hair. Her laughing as they talk about whatever. He will do whatever he can to make sure it happens.

 I am on hiatus still, however I have gotten a new laptop so hopefully I can continue writing soon. I am so stuck on ideas but I will make it work! Sorry this was short, I guess I was tired making this chapter haha. I forgot to post it here so this chapter is several months late, oops.
