Why is it that we always chase dreams that seems so far out of reach?
W put everything to it—time, energy, and our souls— and somehow that distant glimmer keeps us going. There's something about wanting what we think we can't have that makes us relentless. Like moths to a flame, knowing the heat might burn us yet unable to turn away. The idea of giving up stings more than any failure could.
We wake up everyday and maybe the goal feels no closer than it did yesterday. We doubt ourselves, we doubt the path, but we lace up our sheos and keep walking. People look at us like we are mad—who on earth would keep going after something that is only ever slipped through their fingers? They don't see what we see, they see inly the empty hands and not the vision we carry inside.
Sometimes, it feels like we are marching to a beat that no one else can hear. The world moves in one rhythm, but we, in our stubborn pursuit, on another track altogether. We watch others living comfortably, doing what they are expected of them, and part of us wonders if that's what we should be doing too. But the idea of settling ties our insided in knots. Comfort is not what we are after— we are chasing something that sets our souls on fire.
There are nights where we are all alone, and we wonder if this pursuit is a fool's errand. When the doubts speak louder then the dreams, and we think about just letting it all go, doing what's easier. But then something inside of us whispers, soft but strong, reminding us of that glimpse, that tiny tastes of what could be. And it pulls us back, it makes us remember why we started, and why despite everything, we kept going.
And there's the pain of setbacks.Every time we think we are getting closer, life has a way of pulling the rug from under us, It leaves us staring up to the sky, bruised and tired, questioning everything. But there's a small stubborn part of us that laughs at the fall, that stands up just to prove that we can. Because it's not on the falling that we lose, but in the staying down.
We know the cost, we know the lonely road, the sacrifice, the days when everything seems to fight against us. But then there's the joy, those fleeting moments when we make just a little progress. Those moments when the impossible feels a little bit closer, and we remember why we endure the struggles. It's not about the end result, not entirely—it's about the journey that defines who we beome.
We realize that maybe the dream isn't the thing that is out of reach. Maybe, it's about pushing our limits, finding out how far we can stretch. How much we are willing to give. And maybe that's the prize—not the dream, but the person we get to shape ourselves into by daring to want it, even when we fall short, we end up somewhere far beyond where we started.
The truth is, most people won't understand why we keep going, they'll never get the sleepless nights, the sacrifices, the battles we fought against ourselves . But that's okay, because we don't need them to understand, the fire that burns inside of us doesn't need audience—it only need fuel, and it will keep burning as long as we feed it.
In the end of the day, it's not about proving anything to anyone else, it's not about the applause, the validation, or even the acknowledgement. It's about me and the distant light that keeps us moving, one step at a time, even if every step feels hard than the last. We don't need the world to see, we just need to believe.
So, why chasing something that seems impossible? Because it's the only thing that makes us feel alive, and even if we never reach it, the journey itself is the reward. The pursuit. The fire. The stubborn hope—that's what ties it all together, it's the fight that makes it worth it, not the prize.
