It was finally the day of the ball. Everyone was dressed beautifully. Most of the dates were already present at the hall. George saw Hermione entering the hal while Victor Krum approached towards her. "Oi! Haven't got a date, have you?!" said Fred, coming towards George with his date, Angelina Johnson. "I think you're supposed to be the one without a date!" George said sarcastically. Fred rolled his eyes. "Seriously George, you haven't even told me who your date is!!" said Fred. "You'll find out soon." as George replied, I came down the stairs, entering the great hall wearing a beautiful red dress.

I noticed George just in front of the stairs. He looked at me like he saw an angel of something. I stood in front of him while him still looking at me with awestruck eyes. "Is something wrong?..." I raised my eyebrows while smiling. "No!- Well- Not at all..." he was still lost for words. "You look... Brilliant!..." he said. "Brilliant? How can someone look 'brilliant"?! You look dashing, Hazel! Lost for words, he is..." said Angelina, approaching me. George & I blushed. "Thanks!..." I replied. "Hi there." I said, seeing Fred. He replied with a smile, which kind of looked... regretfull?... I don't know. I tried to hide my emotions. "Shall we go?" George asked, lending his hands towards me. I took his hand and smile, "Let's go!"

It was now time for the Triwizard champions to enter the Great Hall and start dancing. Everyone clapped while the door of the hall opened revealing the champions with their dates.
After they started dancing, soon it was others turns to dance too. Me and George looked at each other and went to the dance floor joining the others. It was very fun dancing with him. Everyone was having fun. While dancing, I saw few of my other friends joining too.
After a long dance session, we came out of the crowded area. "Never knew you were this good at dancing!" I said, catching my breadth. "Good thing you found out one of my hidden talents!" he said. "Sure!" I smiled and rolled my eyes. I looked around and noticed Harry & Ron with Padma & Parvati sitting around a corner with a frustrated look on their faces. "Let's go grab a drink!" George said dragging me. "Uhm, George, how about you go grab a drink for me as well? I'm gonna go talk to Harry." I said. "Alright." and he went away.
"What's up guys?" I asked Harry, Ron and the Patil twins. "Nevermind..." said Ron. "Leaving that... never knew my sister looked this pretty!..." said Harry. "Huh! When did you ever looked at me properly?!" I rolled my eyes while Harry smirked. "Anyways, why aren't you guys dancing?" I asked. A guy from Durmstrang came and asked Padma for dance while she gladly and happily accepted it. Parvati frowned. "Are you going to ask me to dance or not?!" she asked Ron. "No." Ron answered, straight! She got up and went away. "Guess I got my answer..." I gave a weird smile. "Here's your drink." George came and gave me a glass of drink. "Thank You!" I replied. "Anytime miss!" he replied as well. "Blimey George, don't you think you're being too extra!?" Ron said. "Atleast not sitting UN-ENJOYING myself like you!" George gave a straightforward answer. "shut it!..." he rolled his eyes. I heard some rocking music and dragged George to go enjoy on the dance floor again. "Enjoy!" George said to Harry and Ron while getting dragged by me. We went and danced again even when we were out of breadth.

After having dinner and lots of dancing and enjoying, when we were finally totally out of breath, we went outside in the grounds to get some fresh air. "Let's sit there, I'm totally exhausted!" I said, sitting down on an empty seat. "It was a brilliant night!" George said. "Yeah... it really was..." saying this, I put my head on his shoulder making myself comfortable, and closing my eyes. There was a moment of silence. "Hazel..." he finally spoke. I replied with a "hm?...", still closing my eyes. "Do you actually... really love Fred?..." he asked. And again I replied with a "hmm...", almost sleeping. Silence fell again. But after a moment he finally spoke again, "remember that day when i said it was pitty for me too?... you see, what I actually meant was that... Hazel... I fell for you... I couldn't really understand my feelings, but... I think I've fallen for you..." it was silent. "Hazel?-" he looked at my already sleeping face. He admired me for a moment and smiled to himself. He got up and took me in bridal style, on his way to the Gryffindor common room.
Entering the common room, he saw Harry and Ron sitting on a couch, murmuring things to themselves. They looked at us like they saw an enemy oe something. George put me on another couch gently. "She's just asleep." he said, reassuring the look on Ron's face. "I leave the rest to you mate." he looked at Harry, and went out.
