Sunghoon's POV
Sunghoon leaned against the wall, his mind a whirl of emotions, the living room sounds muffled in the distance. He couldn't shake off the two moments that had played in his mind since they happened—Jake's kiss and Riki's.
Jake's kiss had been slow and steady, and it felt like home. It was grounding and comforting. The way Jake cupped his face, the soft pressure of his lips, left Sunghoon feeling warm inside, like a safe place he could lean on. He had felt cherished in that kiss, like something precious.
But then there was Riki. That kiss had been intense, urgent, full of passion. Riki had pressed into him with a hunger that left Sunghoon breathless as if he was claiming him most deliciously. Riki's hands had roamed, pulling him closer as their lips met, a storm of emotions swirling between them. It was electric, unrestrained, and left Sunghoon's heart racing in a way that Jake's steady affection hadn't.
The contrast between the two kisses confused him. Jake had kissed him like he was precious, while Riki had kissed him like he wanted him, body and soul. Sunghoon's mind kept flickering between the two, the tenderness of Jake's touch mixing with the heat of Riki's fire.
He didn't know which kiss lingered in his chest more—Jake's warmth or Riki's fiery passion. Both left him craving something, but for what, he wasn't sure.

The living room had slowly quieted down, the earlier chaos settling into murmurs and scattered conversations. Sunoo slipped away unnoticed, his mind spinning as he headed to the kitchen. The cool, still air helped, but only slightly.
Sunoo stood in the dimly lit kitchen, the glass of water trembling slightly in his hand as he stared out the window. The faint hum of music from the other room was barely audible over his erratic heartbeat. He told himself he just needed a moment away from the others—away from him.
The soft creak of the door behind him sent a jolt through his body. He didn't need to turn around to know who it was.
"I knew I'd find you here," Heeseung's voice broke the quiet, smooth but tinged with something deeper.
Sunoo's grip tightened around the glass as he set it down, his back still to Heeseung. "What do you want?" His voice was steady, but his heart betrayed him, thundering louder with each step Heeseung took closer.
Heeseung didn't answer immediately. Instead, he stepped closer and gently wrapped his arms around Sunoo from behind. The warmth of his chest against Sunoo's back sent a shiver through him. Sunoo froze for a moment, his heart hammering wildly in his chest as Heeseung rested his chin lightly on Sunoo's shoulder.
The proximity was too close, too overwhelming. Sunoo tried to look unaffected, but his breath hitched, betraying him.
"You've been avoiding me," Heeseung said softly, his gaze fixed on Sunoo's profile.
Sunoo turned to face him, his eyes sharp but wavering. "I'm not avoiding you. You're imagining things."
A smirk tugged at the corner of Heeseung's lips. "Really? Then why won't you look me in the eye?"
That did it. Sunoo snapped his head up, locking eyes with him. "Satisfied?"
But Heeseung didn't move, didn't even blink. Instead, his smirk faded, replaced by an intensity that made Sunoo's resolve falter. Heeseung's gaze softened, and he lifted a hand to brush a stray strand of hair from Sunoo's face. The gentle touch sent a shiver down Sunoo's spine.
"Why do you keep running from me?" Heeseung murmured, his fingers lingering for just a second too long.
Sunoo swallowed hard, willing himself to stay composed. "Because..." His voice cracked slightly, and he turned away, gripping the edge of the counter. "Because I can't do this with someone like you."
