AU where Jake never made up with the music club or his other friends

A week after the competition

Jake's pov
I lost all my friends. Well except Daisy, she keeps reaching out to me but I kind of stopped talking to her. I heard the music club got second place in the competition. I'm happy for them, they look like they're doing well.

But I'm not, I think I need a fresh start. Daisy has told me not to give up just yet, but it's been over a week. They all ignore me except Zander who screams at me if I so much of come near them. Everyone at school ignores me, I don't blame them though. It is my fault.

I decided to call my dad who lives up in Rose Valley, maybe I could stay with him for a few semesters or all of them until high school is over. Him and mom divorced just because it didn't work out after Milo was born. I stay him every summer though.

After I called him I began to quietly pack a bag, it was Thursday night and my mom wouldn't let me just go. I'll call her when I'm there tomorrow. She'll have to let me stay.

Milo's pov
I woke up this morning and was shook. My older brother wasn't here, mom was panicking as most of his things were missing. This isn't normal, I think he ran away or something.

He's been really down lately, I used to hear him cry a lot but it stopped. Now he's gone.

Zander's pov
When me, Luke, and Hailey walked into school there were police everywhere. They were searching for something or someone. Sniffer dogs were there too. I assumed they got tips on someone doing drugs and hiding them at school, idiots.

We soon made it to the club room, only to find Milly and Sean outside looking frightened. There were three cops looking through the room, one of them spoke into a device. "Possible evidence found returning outside, report back outside."

I saw them put hair into a bag, Jake's? Weird.

Hailey's pov
That was a really weird thing to watch, why would police need that traitors hair? Whatever, I need to get to class. When I walked in everyone was talking about the search. I tried ignoring it but overheard something's, "Yeah apparently Jake went missing, they're trying to track him down."

Wait, what.

Jake's pov
I forgot to call my mom today, she was really worried when I finally called her back. I had to explain everything to her. She sounded disappointed but understood and let me stay as long as I come stay with her during summer.

I think a fresh start will be good.
