A few days have passed since then. Nothing had changed, or maybe there were some changes, but it's not like I chose to mingle with it.

Dion was, as usual, never leaving my side in the morning. However, in the night when he made sure I was asleep, he would always sneak out and come back the next morning before my wake-up time. I once saw him sneak out, which caused me to get curious and worried, but seeing him come back the next morning in good condition, I thought it's better for me not to ask about the reasons.

Who am I to question him?

I'm just a friend and a roommate. It's not like I'm a good person to judge him for whatever he does or wherever he goes. Like him, I also have secrets of my own.

And today is not an exception. I woke up in the morning and saw Dion already preparing our breakfast, when in fact I noticed him leave last night.

I got up from the bed and walked towards him.

"Morning," I greeted him with a smile and sat down at the table, yawning. Dion turned to me and smiled like usual. "Good morning, Aki," he greeted back and walked towards me. He then kissed me on the forehead; it's a daily routine for us now. At first, I was surprised, but surprisingly, I got used to it now.

"What are you cooking?" I asked curiously. Dion went back to continue cooking.

"Guess."

I chuckled softly and got up, walking towards him to get a peek at what he was cooking.

"Oh! Bacon! Are you making sandwiches?"

"You little' cheater."

I laughed and stuck my tongue out.

He pinched my cheek and laughed as well. "Go and take a bath. It will be done after minutes."

He ruffled my hair teasingly and then continued to whatever he was doing. I pouted and turned as well, heading to the bathroom to do, well, my priorities.

After taking a bath and dressing up, I went back to the kitchen and saw him serving the sandwiches he made on the table for the both of us.

My eyes sparkled excitedly. "Sandwiches!" I said and went to sit on my chair in a hurry. Dion chuckled and served me milk before he got to sit down on the seat opposite to mine.

I started eating, and so did he. However, during the meal, I noticed Dion staring at me for some time now. "Is something on my face?" I asked jokingly at him.

"Pretty," he replied with a smile. I pouted at him, hiding the fact that my ears had gone on heat from embarrassment.

As we head out for the class, Dion was suddenly called out by a member of the swordsmanship club.

Despite the ill rumors going around about Dion, there are still many people who choose to befriend him.

Well, it still feels nice when you think about it.

A soft smile formed on my lips as I watched Dion talking with the man.

However, as soon as I noticed that their conversation would take long, I excused myself first.

Seeing Dion's reluctant expression of letting me go alone made me feel at ease somehow.

"I'll wait for you in the classroom," I said, chuckling softly before waving a goodbye.

I took one glance at him before turning away.

I made my way to the classroom but stopped as soon as my gaze flickered around the stairs in the right wing of the school—the one near the library.

The figure was sitting on one of the stair steps, head lowered and a hand on his stomach.

A sudden urge to go there made me take a step forward but stop quickly as realization dawned on me.

Silver-haired. The man was definitely Lucretius.

A frown crossed my face.

'…He seems in pain,' I thought.

I gulped, averting my gaze. The very thought of worrying him is something even I, find ridiculous.

'..Why am I feeling these things…'

I sighed tiredly, attempting to ignore Lucretius and leave.

However, as soon as I caught sight of him, falling off the stairs from my peripheral view, my feet were fast enough to run in his direction.

I pointed my finger in his direction—using my power to control wind to prevent him from falling to the floor.

When I got near, I ran to him and laid him on the floor gently.

"Lucretius!" I called out, kneeling to his side as I grabbed his head and placed it on my lap, slapping his cheek in a gentle manner as an attempt to wake him up.

I didn't even notice my face was now filled with immense worry. My heart was beating faster in so much nervousness. The sight of him—so pale and fragile despite his manly figure—somehow draining the blood out of me.

"Hey! Wake up!" I said, my voice desperate.

My gaze fixed on him, and there it is again. The feeling of nostalgia.

I heard that one skip of a beat from my heart—so different from the usual heartbeats. And yet so familiar and... the same thing that I experienced before with Khalid.

I looked around, trying to keep my thoughts focused on his well-being for the moment.

I need to ask for help. God, where are the other students in this time?

"…Aki."

I felt my body freeze, tilting my head down to look down at him and meeting his tired gaze.

"…I'm here." I don't know why, but my lips just replied to him.

"…You're here… You always came for my rescue…. I'm glad…"

My eyes widen a bit at his words, frowning a bit.

He meant the real 'Akira' and not me, right?

Somehow, it feels like... it was about me.

"don't force yourself to speak. We need you to get in the clinic. Can you stand up? Let me help you get there."

Despite my small figure, I tried to get him up - his much more muscular body putting much pressure to mine.

"Balance. Try to keep your balance. Here, you can lean on me." I said, grabbing his shoulder and putting it around my neck.

Lucretius, unlike the other three was the quiet type. Still, it doesn't change that he's one of the male leads.

'This is the first and last time, I'm doing this.'

I sighed softly and started making our way to the clinic - unaware of the pair of gaze from the other corner of the left corridor.
