Unbearable Meeting

Ah, you again, everything was fine, but no, you had to come here and disturb me again, didn't you? If you keep this up, I'm going to have to give you a name. How about... 'Interruptus'? Yes, Interruptus suits you. Or maybe 'Little Investigator'? Hmm, I'm liking this one.

You know, since you, the person who is being inconvenient to appear here again in my brilliant mind, I will have to share a space with you. And I can tell you that this is extremely inconvenient.

Today I have a serious meeting, so please be a good reader and don't interrupt me. Unless you have a really good joke to tell. But be careful, if she's not funny enough, I might turn you into a frog. Or one of those cliché characters that always dies in the first act.

Ah, this meeting... it's about a small detail that could change the course of humanity. Nothing major, just a little detail. But don't worry, I already have everything under control. Or at least that's what I like to think.

-JEFFREY! -scream- Ah, you are there.

-Yes, what do you want? -He's ready for anything, and I admire that about him. But so what? Every good servant has a good boss.

-Uh, today I have a meeting, right?

-Okay, boss. At ten in the morning. More specifically, in forty minutes. -he prostrates himself in front of me. Someday I'll make a rug with his face on it.

-Can you have the best suit I have, please. -I cross my arms and wait for him.- Actually, -I go back- could you bring me a red-orange suit? The one with the tie facing brown.

-Here you go, boss. -he says, extending his arm with the hanger on which the suit is located.

-Thank you, Jeffrey. And remember, a good smile sells more than a great speech.

I pick up the suit, and Jeffrey helps me put it on perfectly. Just like it helps me put on a wig that works. I think that suit is cute. Starched red-orange suit, highlighting the color of my eyes, dark brown tie, shiny black shoes. This demonstrates the confidence I have.

-Boss? -Jeffrey calls me, his voice reverberates in my distracted head- What are you thinking about? We have little time for the meeting.

-Oh, of course. Come.

We both get into the black car, stating where the meeting is.

-Champagne, boss? -Jeffrey asks.

-No thanks.

I stare at him. His brown hair brings tremendous grace to him. Now that I notice, he's wearing a suit in a shade of violet-red to match his eyes, just like I did. Maybe it's blue-violet. This is a very attractive and beautiful color.

Structures and things fly past the car windows. It makes me a little dizzy, what about you?

Afe, I don't even know why I ask you. You won't answer me. And that's yet another reason why it's inconvenient.

-We're here. -Jeffrey announces, opening my door.

I straighten my posture, lift my chin slightly and straighten my suit, while Jeffrey helps me straighten my tie.

-Ready. -he accompanies me- Boss, remember: your name?

-Ahem -I clear my throat- Christian Lawrence.

-Exactly. -We stopped in front of the blonde receptionist.

-Good morning. -I say, looking down (to see her) and fixing my eyes on hers.

-Another one for your job calendar? -she murmurs, thinking I didn't hear her. Focus.
