"Family"
The first thing I did after the shower was eat. I didn't realize how hungry I was until Saint brought me in some food. I'm wearing Madz clothes and they look horrible on me.
The shirt is down to my knees and the sweatpants are as tight as I could get them to be. Madz seems to be enjoying it though. He has a look in his eye like he loves it.
"Can we go see Axel now?" I've been asking all morning but Madz keeps bringing stuff up for me to do. "Please, I really need to check on him."
"Yeah we can but I need to help you to his room." I nod my head and stand up quickly. I get dizzy and place my hands on the wall so I don't fall. Madz comes rushing over.
"Slow down. He's not going anywhere. He's been waiting on you. I told him once you were cleaned up and ate that we would come see him." Madz leads me to the steps and we walk down a long hallway.
The hallway is filled with photos of all the men with their bikes. Some photos they look serious and some are full of laughter. I stop and I get a look from Madz.
It's a photo of him, his mom and Eleanor. They all look so happy together. "What are you thinking about?" He asks. I turn my head and see a soft look on Madz face.
"I was just thinking about how awesome your family is. I'm so happy you have them." This makes me cry a little. My mother and father are both gone and now I have no real family.
"You know you're part of the family now too, right." I look at Madz and can tell he is serious. "Part of mine and my clubs. We're stuck together in more than one way."
"That sounds wonderful. I think I'm okay to start walking again." We finish walking and come to a door at the end. Madz gives a knock and Axel is at the door. I fling out of his arms and jump into Axels.
"I'm so sorry Axel. I'm so very sorry." Axels wraps his arms around me and hugs me back. I'm so glad that he's okay. I could have lost him as well but I'm glad I didn't.
"You did nothing wrong Nov's. Nothing that happened is your fault. I'm so happy that you're okay. I was so worried about you. I tried to leave the club but everyone kept me locked in my room." I chuckle.
"They just wanted to make sure you were all healed and okay." I let go of Axel and Madz grabbed my hips lightly. I lean back into him and get comfortable.
"How long will we be out of work Madz?" I didn't even think of the shop. Oh god. Did I lose everything? I panic and turn around.
"Shhh it's okay sweetheart. The shop isn't bad. We already put in a new door and the window people are coming tomorrow. Everything else is fine and all cleaned up." That makes me feel better.
"So I can go back to work right away?" Madz face is blank. I can tell he's nervous about something. "What?"
"I want you healed 100% before you go back. The both of you need to be okay before you are cleared to go back to work. I know you are eager." He's right. I can't work through all this pain.
