Another day, another challenge, and that mysterious man. I was sitting in my cabin, engrossed in preparations for the exhibition. I drummed my fingers against the desk, my mind racing again with concern for Preet. She was slipping away, lost in her own world. I needed someone who could reach her, someone she trusted.

I picked up my phone and dialed Raj's number. "Raj, I need a favor," I said, trying to keep my tone level.

"Yes, sir?" Raj replied.

"I need to contact... someone who knows Preet well. Someone who can help her." I paused, choosing my words carefully. I couldn't reveal too much. "Discreetly, Raj. It's crucial."

Raj's hesitation was palpable. "Sir, that's a challenging task. It may take some time."

My impatience simmered. How much longer could Preet suffer? "How much time?"

"An hour, maybe two," Raj estimated.

I clenched my jaw, struggling to contain my frustration. "Make it faster."

As I hung up, my gaze drifted to Preet's door. I couldn't shake off the feeling that time was running out.

The phone rang, breaking the silence. "Yes?" I answered.

"I have the number, sir," Raj said.

My fingers flew across my phone, dialing the number. It rang several times before a husky, irritated voice answered. "Hello?"

I took a deep breath, preparing for the battle ahead. "I'm looking for someone who can help a friend. A friend who's going through a tough time."

The voice on the other end sighed. "What's the friend's name?"

"Preet," I replied.

There was a pause, and for a moment, I thought the line had gone dead. "I know Preet," the voice said finally. "What's going on?"

I hesitated, unsure how much to reveal. "She's struggling. I think she needs someone to talk to. Someone she trusts."

The voice on the other end seemed to consider my words. "I'll help. But you need to understand, this is a sensitive situation. I'll need to be careful."

I nodded, even though the person on the other end couldn't see me. "I understand. Thank you."

As I hung up, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. Maybe, just maybe, we could get Preet the help she needed.
