Jeonghan was nestled comfortably in his bed, clutching Scoups' shirt like it was a lifeline. Ever since that incident, he couldn't bear the thought of being apart from him. The fear of solitude loomed large, and Scoups had become his anchor. Just then, Joshua peeked into the room, his expression a mix of concern and curiosity.

"Coups ah, can we chat for a sec?" Joshua asked, his voice low.

Scoups sighed, glancing down at Jeonghan, who was still holding onto him tightly. "I'd love to, but he's not letting go. I tried to pry his hands off, but it's like trying to move a mountain," he replied, a hint of amusement in his tone.

Joshua raised an eyebrow, noticing that Scoups wasn't even attempting to shake Jeonghan off. Instead, he was just holding his hand, offering silent comfort. With a snap of his fingers, Joshua cast a quick glance around the room.

"Alright, now we can talk without anyone eavesdropping," he said, a smirk playing on his lips. Scoups looked at him, puzzled by the sudden shift in atmosphere.

"Coups ah, don't take this the wrong way, but... are you in love with Jeonghan?" Joshua's question hung in the air, and Scoups' eyes widened in surprise.

"I mean, if that's the case, I just want you to know I'm here for you as a friend. No judgment, just support," Joshua added, his tone sincere.

A wave of relief washed over Scoups as he processed Joshua's words.

Scoups sat quietly, his gaze fixed on Jeonghan. A soft smile crept onto his face as he watched the gentle rise and fall of Jeonghan's chest.

"I'm not sure if what I feel is love," he mused to himself, his thoughts swirling like leaves in the wind. "But I can't stand seeing him upset, angry, or hurting. All I want is for him to be happy, all the time."

He took a deep breath, recalling how he could almost sense Jeonghan's emotions like a fragrance in the air. It was as if every feeling he experienced wafted toward Scoups, wrapping around him like a warm blanket. That's why he had jumped in to help Dino and Mingyu; he could feel Jeonghan's sadness creeping in, and it tugged at his heartstrings.

"It's like his anger becomes mine, his pain is mine—every single emotion he goes through resonates within me. That's why I react the way I do. If this is what love feels like, then yes, I'm definitely in love with him."

Joshua, who had been quietly listening, felt a jolt of surprise at Scoups' candidness. He had never seen his friend open up like this before.

"I came here just to get my book, Shua," Scoups continued, a hint of confusion in his voice. "But now, it feels like my whole direction has shifted toward Jeonghan. It's not about the book anymore; it's all about him."

Joshua, moved by Scoups' vulnerability, reached out and gave him a gentle pat on the back, a silent acknowledgment of the depth of his feelings.

Joshua offered a reassuring smile, his voice steady and warm. "We're here for you, no matter what path you choose. You're not alone in this."

Next day, a police officer arrived to gather more information.

"Mr Boo, we need to speak with Mr Yoon. We didn't get the chance yesterday, but it's important," the officer stated, his tone serious yet understanding.

Seungkwan nodded, concern etched on his face.

"I understand, sir, but Jeonghan hyung is really shaken up after everything that happened. I'll do my best to bring him out." He made his way to Jeonghan's room and knocked gently on the door.

"Coups hyung, could you please tell Jeonghan hyung to come out? The police need to talk to him."

The door creaked open, revealing Jeonghan clinging to Scoups like a lifeline, his eyes wide with fear. They all shuffled into the living room, the atmosphere thick with tension.
