Joe could barely keep his eyes open as he trudged back to the apartment. He waved tiredly at Tong before heading back to his room, eager to crawl into bed.

The past few days had been filled with studying and paranoia, and he was in desperate need of a break.

Tong was still excited about his dinner. He walked to his room, whistling a tune. He didn't notice the dark figure lurking in the shadows until it was too late.

"Where have you been?" Mark hissed, appearing right in front of Tong's face with such speed that Tong jumped in surprise.

"Jesus, Mark! You can give someone a heart attack, why don't you?" Tong whined, clutching his chest. "What's wrong with you?"

Mark's eyes were dark and sharp, a clear sign that he was hungry. "I need to eat. Now."

Tong sighed, accustomed to Mark's dramatic style by now. "Okay, but can we keep it to a minimum? I don't want Joe to think I run a blood bank here."

Before Tong could say anything else, Mark lunged in. His lips crashed against Tong's with a hunger that took him by surprise. Tong's protests turned into muffled growls as Mark's fangs grazed his tongue.

"Ow!" "What the hell, Mark?" Tong tried to pull away, but Mark's grip was strong. The vampire seemed to realize his mistake and quickly adjusted his bite, but not before making the entire situation look like a scene from a passionate romance movie.

Tong's eyes widened as he felt Mark's tongue slide over his own, the bite turning into something that felt like a deep kiss. Tong could barely feel the pain over the onslaught of other sensations—the heat, the tingling, and the strange intimacy of the moment.

"Did you really bite my tongue?" Tong managed to murmur near Mark's mouth, his voice half amused and half annoyed.

Mark pulled back slightly, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Sorry. I'm hungry and a little confused."

"Confused, idiot," Tong complained as he wiped his mouth. "Aim better next time."Mark smirked. "I'll try, but I have to say your reaction is Pretty... funny.

Tong rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah. Get this over with and let me sleep. Unlike you, I need to sleep."

Mark complied, biting Tong's lip more precisely this time and sucking with focused intensity. Tong relaxed, his initial surprise giving way to an odd sense of comfort.

When Mark was done, he licked Tong's lips to heal the wound, much to Tong's chagrin. "You really like licking, huh?"

"That was efficient," Mark said with a wink, stepping back and letting Tong catch his breath."Whatever, buddy. Next time... try not to give me a heart attack, okay?"

Tong grumbled, heading to his bed.

Mark chuckled, his hunger satisfied for the moment. "No promises."

Tong collapsed onto his bed, shaking his head. "Life was a lot simpler before I woke you up."

"But not as exciting as it used to be," Mark replied, relaxing on the edge of Tong's bed.

Tong couldn't argue with that. As crazy as it was, there was something undeniably good about having a vampire as a roommate. "Just try not to be affectionate with me next time, okay? Joe might misinterpret it."

Mark laughed softly. "Okay. Goodnight, Tong."

"Goodnight, Mark," Tong murmured, already beginning to fall asleep.

As Tong drifted off, Mark watched him with a slight smile on his lips.
