“Good afternoon,” Y/n said, trying to keep her voice even. “What can I get for you?”
She waited for their orders, hoping they would keep it simple.
Jimin leaned back in his seat and said, “Looks like our favorite little punching bag is serving us today, huh?”
Y/n noticed Jimin's smirk and felt a twinge of irritation, but pushed it aside.
'I just need to take their order and get on with my work.'
She thought to herself.Jimin couldn't help but smirk.
She tried to keep things polite, but Jimin could see the irritation building behind her eyes.
So Jimin decided to poke the bear a little.
“Well, if it isn't our favorite little waitress,” Jimin said, his voice dripping with amusement.
Y/n gritted her teeth at Jimin's mocking tone.
His words were like nails on a chalkboard, making her skin crawl.
She knew what was coming.
More of their usual taunting and ridicule.
She took a deep breath, trying to maintain her composure and not let them see her flinch.
Jimin couldn't help but find the situation even more amusing.
“You look a bit stressed, Coco,” he said, feigning concern.
Y/n just rolled her eyes in reply.
The rest of the group watched the interaction between Jimin and Y/n with a mixture of amusement and anticipation.
Jimin leaned back in his chair, his smirk widening.
“So, how long have you been working here, Y/n?” he asked, his voice laced with faux sweetness.
Y/n's eyes narrowed slightly at Jimin's question, but she didn't respond right away.
The group waited for her answer, some of them already grinning.
And then there was Taehyung, unbothered of his surroundings, was scrolling through his phone with an emotionless face.
Y/n hated how Jimin was trying to rile her up.
But she also knew that any reaction would only make things worse.
She took a deep breath before finally answering.
“I've been working here for a month now,” she replied, her voice carefully controlled.
Her voice was calm and collected, but Jimin could see the flicker of irritation in her eyes.
Jimin leaned forward again, resting hid chin on the back of his hand.
“A month, huh? Must be quite the change from university life,” he said with a sly smile.
