Over in Piltover, Marcus and his older partner, Grayson, are arguing at her desk. Marcus is on the verge of yelling: "I'm telling you! He's not gonna sell out his people!"
Grayson's attention is still on the paperwork she is signing, her voice is calm and harsh with a firm tone: "He will have to do something"
Marcus takes a deep breath: "He knows who did it, he literally had the goods with him. What if he did it and just doesn't want us to take him in" He slams his hand on her desk: "We should just take him and his kids into questioning!"
Grayson has had enough, she stands up quickly and points a finger in his face: "We're not arresting Vander, and certainly not his kids! Now if you keep making decisions without thinking, I'll have your badge! Do you hear me?" Marcus is shocked by her and doesn't speak. "I said do you hear me!?"
Marcus quickly nods: "Yes, yes I heard you"
"Then why are you still here!?" She yells as Marcus bolts out the door. She returns to her paperwork, sighing. His words had a small effect on her, if Vander doesn't come through soon she'll have to come up with something herself.

In the depths of Zaun, a slender, tall man paces around in his office. The door to his office is opened by a teenager, Deckard, one of the thugs who tried to rob you and the others: "Silco... boss, I know you said I shouldn't show my face here no more but I was just wondering if you had any work for me?"
Silco's voice is cold and hollow: "I do not, excuse yourself"
Deckard doesn't let go so easily: "Please boss, I'll take any work I can. I'll follow Vander's kids again if that's what you need"
Silco is in his seat, facing away from Deckard: "You've already proven that's too much for you to handle"
Deckard winces at the thought of what happened before: "It won't happen again"
Silco speaks in a tone that makes it clear there's no negotiating: "I should've known not to give such an important task to some two-bit thieves"
Deckard is on the edge of his temper, he's about to snap when someone else steps through the door, Marcus: "Grayson is refusing to turn in Vander"
Silco sighs at Marcus' news: "Didn't think she would"
Marcus is about to continue when Deckard cuts in: "I can wack her for you, boss! She's an obstacle so I can get rid of her!"
Marcus gives him a side-eye: "You'll fail"
Silco reinforces Marcus' opinion: "He's right, and she's a valuable asset. Deckard, excuse yourself and don't return"
Deckard throws his hands in the air as he leaves. Marcus returns to the matter at hand: "If we invade Zaun, I can't keep enforcers from investigating your dock. They'll find your shimmer supply"
Silco turns his chair slowly to face Marcus, revealing his orange left eye and the scar that separates his two skin tones. His face is long and aged, he's not dressed like the other people from his area: he wears dark formal clothing as if he was designed like a villain.
He taps his fingers along the edge of his desk: "Go rile up the Lanes. Vander's bar, the Last Drop will have some rebellious citizens"
