After my date with Erick, I couldn't help but think about how it could have ended differently. A part of me hoped he'd ask to come inside, but I was grateful he didn't. His restraint only made me respect him more than I had before.
If he had come in, I had no doubt I'd take things further than I was ready for with him. I wanted to keep things slow, and seeing Erick understand that and act accordingly made my views on him skyrocket.
Erick had even sent me a follow up text the morning after, telling me what a good time he had, ending the text with a hint for me to rehydrate, considering the alcohol I had.
With such a respectful man, I wondered how he'd act at a place such as Night Lux. Different? Or would he be equally respectful?
There were plenty of submissives at that club, a few of which I'd even considered to be attractive. I knew Erick must have some kind of type when it came to men, since a lot of dominants these days like to go for the younger women and twinks as I've seen. Erick however, chose to approach... me, someone who I'd consider to possibly pass as dominant.
Not that I could ever see myself dominating Erick, but I wasn't opposed to the idea of it.
I had made the decision to text Milani about Erick. Keeping the message simple, I told her that I met someone, and that we had gone on a single night out. One night out doesn't mean much, but it's the first steps that count.
She responded with a heart emoji, which brought a smile to my face. Knowing her, she wanted to rave about it, but she kept her cool and was minimal. Always so caring of others' feelings.
Even by the next day, I was thinking about the date. Talk about not being serious yet. Unable to get him off my mind. That's just what happens when you're brain feels as though something was left unfinished.
Given the number of years it's been since I was on a date, I suppose I could be overthinking my excitement towards the other night. Was I looking too deep into it? Would there be a second date? I sure hope so, because I can't stop thinking about it.
"You seem lost in thought," Ben said as we walked along the sidewalk heading toward the parking garage.
"Oh, do I? I apologize," I said, running my fingers through my hair and pushing it behind my shoulder.
"No need to apologize. What's on your mind?" He asked.
"I was just thinking about something from the other day," I excused. "What were you saying about your dog?" He had been talking about taking his dog somewhere when I had zoned out of the conversation.
"I was just mentioning trying to find someone to watch him when I go on my skiing vacation in a few months. You're welcome to come with us if you'd like," He offered with a kind smile.
"I'll think about it," I said, smiling back at him.
My phone started buzzing nonstop in my pocket, alerting me of a phone call. I fished through my pocket for a moment before bringing the phone up to see who it was. Milani was calling.
"I need to take this, can you give me a second?" I asked Ben. We stepped off the main path so we wouldn't block the walkway as I spoke on the phone.
"Hey, Sammy!" She happily greeted.
"Hi, Milani, what's up?"
"Well, Andrew and I are thinking of grabbing dinner next week, maybe Tuesday? Would you want to join us? It'd be great for you two to catch up," She chimed.
"Next Tuesday? Sounds great, I'd love to."
"Perfect! And by the way, if you want, you can bring someone along since we're reserving a four person table. Maybe, you know... ?" She added, refraining from finishing her thought. She was inferring about the man I met.
