The room goes silent, no one expected to hear such news. Vander breaks the silence: "This isn't some kind of sick joke? My... my child is being released?" Grayson smiles as she nods.
The room erupts with cheer, this is the best news they've had since your arrest. Even Marcus smiles slightly, as a father himself. Vander is too caught up in his thoughts to ask for more details, an act that will bear consequences.

Back at the prison, you are talking to Kara about telling her the news: "Kara, I have something to tell you... something huge"
Kara blushes, thinking this is something else: "Um, okay. Tell me"
You take a deep breath, the situation setting in as you do: "My bail money was paid, and we'll be released at the same time" Her face lights up, she's at a loss for words. "A man named Silco paid it, I think my dad mentioned his name a few times so he's probably a family friend"
She leaps at you, wrapping her arms around you out of joy. Her skin is soft and so is her hair. She pulls away from you and you make eye contact for a second but you break away suddenly: "Sorry, I didn't mean to jump on you" You laugh at how awkward she'd become.

Meanwhile, in the snowy city of Bastro, a group of orange-cloth gang members are talking about their leader's nephew who was being transferred from the Juvenile prison to a big house. There's a large map in the centre of the table with markings all over it, focusing on the train tracks that will carry their leader's nephew.
"So when's this train leaving?" One member asks, and another responds: "Early November" They discuss how they will make the train stop "We get oil barrels and line them up on this hill here," he points at a hill along the side of the tracks: "when the train comes past, we push them down and then when they hit the train. Boom. The train is sent off the tracks and we just find the kid and kill the witnesses"
One of the gang members looks concerned by their last order: "This is from a juvenile prison, those witnesses will be kids" The plan-making gang member has a response: "Kids in jail"

That night, there's a large celebration for progress day at the Last Drop. People's alliances and oppositions don't matter for that one night. There's dancing and music and laughter filling the air. In Pilltover, everything is too formal to feel real, it feels so artificial but this feels like people interacting in their natural environment.
While everyone is dancing, Vi is leaning against the bar. The song changes to "My Love", her mother's favourite song. She looks at people dancing with each other and feels slightly alone. She scans the room and sees a girl staring at her, they both avert their eyes to make it seem like they didn't make eye contact.
Vander sees this and nudges Vi: "She gonna be there tomorrow?"
Vi responds confused: "No?"
Vander nudges her again: "Then go talk to her now"
Vi sighs but knows she should. She goes over and asks the girl to dance: "Would you... like to... dance?"
The girl blushes: "Y-yes, I would"
Vi takes her hand and pulls her out to the dancefloor, where they dance until the songs stop spinning.
*Time Skip: November 4th*
You and Kara are sitting in one of the carriages, on your way home. You look through the window and smile at the sight, she does the same but only staring at you. You look up at the grey sky: "It'll be night soon"
Kara speaks without thought: "Could be our last"
You turn to face her: "What do you mean?" You have a look of confusion
You two make eye contact as she speaks: "You're going to Zaun, to your family. I'm going back to Piltover. This could be our last night together"
You gently take her hands as you speak: "Come with me"
She doesn't understand your request: "What? I don't understand"
You retain eye contact as emotions swirl within you, emotions you've never felt before: "I'm not leaving you, you can come live with me and Powder and Vi and everyone else"
She looks star-struck: "You mean it? We can stay together?"
You speak with honour and don't hesitate: "We can stay toge-"
A loud barrage of bangs rattles through the train as it falls off the rails. The walls are shredded up and you can see the outside world, you see the snow falling, and you see Kara fly out the side of the train.
