Jin rested on his bed after freshening up, his thoughts swirling around Jungkook.
He had always been an introverted soul, someone who preferred the quiet comfort of his own world. He'd had crushes before, sure, but his shy and reserved nature never allowed him to act on them. Jimin and Jhope, always looking out for him, had set him up on countless dates over the years, hoping he would finally experience love and care. But none of those dates ever worked out. It was always the same-Jin didn't like them, or they found him too awkward and quiet.
Those experiences often left Jin feeling insecure, wondering if he was the problem. Maybe love just wasn't meant for someone like him.
But now... this was different. For the first time, he had genuinely liked someone. Jungkook. Not only had he enjoyed their first date, but he had also gone out with him a second time. That had never happened before. Jungkook was everything he'd ever dreamed of-kind, patient, charming, and incredibly handsome. Somehow, Jungkook seemed to see him, truly see him, in a way no one else ever had.
Jin sighed softly, a small smile tugging at his lips. He liked this. He liked what they were building, whatever it was. And he didn't want it to stop.
His thoughts came to a halt when his phone buzzed with a notification. He glanced at the screen, and his smile grew wider.
It was Jungkook.
"Still awake?"
Jin's heart fluttered as he quickly typed back. "Yes. You're awake too?"
The reply came almost instantly. "Of course. You expect me to sleep while you stay on my mind rent-free?"
Jin's face turned crimson as he read the message. Jungkook always knew exactly how to say the right thing to make him feel giddy and bashful at the same time.
He buried his face in his pillow, trying to calm his racing heart before typing back. "You're too much, Jungkook."
But secretly, Jin knew he didn't mind at all.
"If this is too much for you, imagine what I could be if I truly unleashed myself. Trust me, this isn't even the beginning of 'too much.' Stick around and you'll see."
Jin blushed deeply, staring at his phone as if it had just caught fire. He bit his lip, his fingers hesitating above the keyboard. How did Jungkook always manage to leave him so flustered with just a few words?
"You're so confident, aren't you?" Jin finally replied, trying to sound casual, but his cheeks betrayed him, burning like embers.
The reply came almost immediately. "I don't see a reason not to be, especially when I know the effect I have on you."
Jin gasped softly, his heart skipping a beat. He was sure Jungkook knew exactly what he was doing. His thumbs hovered again, unsure how to respond, but Jungkook beat him to it.
"Don't overthink it, beautiful. Just trust me. I mean it when I say you're special to me."
Jin's breath hitched as he read the message. He felt his chest tighten, not in fear but in something warm, something new. He smiled shyly, typing back.
"You really know how to make someone feel like they're the only person in the world."
This time, Jungkook took a few seconds longer to reply, and when he did, it made Jin's heart flutter even more.
"That's because, to me, you are."
Jin closed his eyes, holding the phone to his chest, his face burning with emotion. How could someone make him feel so seen, so cherished, with just words?
