"It was my choice," he said and she pressed her lips together. "Just keep Addy safe. She's grown on me during all of this. And I'll keep an eye on Pietro for her." He nodded to her right and she saw Adelaide tugging on the bars, desperate to touch him, but she couldn't. "The boy's in love." She looked back at Sam. "It's just us in here and... he talks a lot. Kennedy would kill him if she could."

She chuckled lightly. "She talks in her sleep," she whispered, glancing at the young couple. "Accidentally announced to the apartment that they kissed while napping. Well, before she remembered what happened and... locked herself in her room." She sucked in a breath. "Please tell me where he is."

"Grace—"

"I need to know," she insisted and Sam pressed his lips together. "Please, Sam, I—" She licked her unusually dry lips. "I need to see him."

𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐕𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐋𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐔𝐍𝐊𝐄𝐑 with Bucky trailing behind him, the latter holding tightly to one of Natasha's guns that he had gotten from the Quinjet. They were walking quietly through the hallway when they turned sharply, hearing a loud thud behind them. Instinctively, Bucky's gun faced the sound.

"You ready?" Steve asked him.

He nodded. "Yeah."

"Are you ambushing them or visiting them?" Steve furrowed his brows when he heard the voice and lowered his shield slightly. "Because if you're ambushing them, then the thud you made just gave away your position!"

"Oh, and your shouting hasn't?"

The double doors opened and revealed Tony in his Iron Man suit with Grace and Adelaide. The brunette was holding her head in her hand while they bickered like siblings.

"For the love of..." She looked up and walked through the doors. "Would it be hard to believe if I say this has been going on for the past two hours?"

Steve looked at her. "Grace?"

"Oh—hello." She glanced back at Tony and Adelaide. "I'm done. They're gonna drive me crazy!"

"Not to mention when you landed with that thud, you landed on my foot, you idiot!" Adelaide slapped Tony, who was still in his suit, and winced slightly at the contact. "Ow... You better hope nothing is broken, Tin Man."

"Uh—Addy?"

The blonde turned at her name. "What?" she asked him and he raised his eyebrows. "He landed on my foot and he's in a metal suit. It hurt!"

Grace pinched the bridge of her nose and Steve cleared his throat. "What—?"

"Here's the recap for you," Adelaide interrupted him while Bucky stared at her. "Mr. Billionaire over here might finally believe you about Bucky, Ross is a complete idiot who does not know we're here nor should he be in any government office, and Pietro is chained to the fucking ground!"

Steve glanced at Steve. "She swears when she's angry," she told him and he nodded.

"Is that where Kennedy is?" Bucky asked Adelaide, still pointing the gun at her and Tony. She looked back at him, her eyes glossing over the weapon in his hands.

She nodded. "Yes. Put the gun down."

Bucky looked at Steve who nodded and he did so. "She's okay, by the way," Grace said to Bucky, standing next to Steve. "She's still her... sarcastic, quippy self."

"That's her..."

"Well!" Tony nodded as silence filled the hall. "Now that we're all caught up..." He began walking in the direction of an enormous chamber. "I got heat signatures."
