Damian left to be on patrol and I was standing outside Elijah's door. Hesitantly, I knocked. "Eli?" I called out softly with my eyes glued at his name being carved on the door. It didn't take long for him to open the door with his eyes glued on the ground. Before I could even say anything, he hugged me tight. "I learned everything from Mr. Gomez. I am so sorry for ignoring you, Lena. I was overwhelmed and I thought that..." He paused and shook his head.
"I shouldn't have treated you like that. I know you're looking for a way to tell me, and I guess I couldn't accept what happened..." He trailed off while still hugging me. I smiled softly at his apologetic tone and lifted my head to ruffle his hair. "It's okay, Eli. It's only going to be you, me, and the Gomez. Do you think you can handle that?" I asked. My tone was soft and low. I didn't want to trigger him into any violent reactions.
"Would you like to come in my room?" He asked. I chuckled as I walked inside his room while he was still clinging into me. I looked around and saw posters of Boston Bruins. Boston Bruins is a hockey team with a very skilled hockey players. I may not know about hockey, but I do watch their games, despite my lack of knowledge.
"Wow, you seem to be taking hockey very serious." I spoke up with my eyes wandering around the room. "I see my future in this sport, sissy." Elijah let's go of me and walked towards one of his poster. "I feel inspired every time I watch their games. I want to be in the NHL." He spoke up with confidence as I stared at him with a supportive look.
"I am glad for you, hermano." I laughed softly before making my way towards his bed and sat down. "Coach said that I am born natural on ice, and I have been taking it very seriously." Elijah grinned, "and I will prove it to him more." Elijah spoke in a very determined voice. I can't help but smile at his statement. He is really taking this serious, and the way he sounds is filled with so much excitement and determination.
"That sounds very good. What position are you playing?" I tilted my head. "Center." He replied as my eyes widened. Center? "Isn't that the most important role of the game?" I asked with my eyes wide. He nodded and his smile is still plastered in his face as if he was very happy by sharing it to me. In fact, he is happy.
"Hockey is so important to you, huh?" I asked. He nodded before flopping in his bed next to where I was sitting. Someday, I will be watching my little brother in the TV. I can't help but smile again on that thought. I am excited for my little brother. I am very much proud of him. Suddenly, a knock interrupted me and my little brother.
"Lady Ella, young master Elijah, the dinner is ready." One of the very young maid who took my bag a while ago after I arrived here spoke up. "Alright, thanks Maya!" Elijah called out. She must be around Elijah's age. By the looks of her, she looks so young. A small blush appeared in her cheeks before bowing and leaving.
"You know her?" I asked with amusement hinting my tone. Elijah gave me a nod while sitting up from his bed. "Yes, she's always with me and Mr. Gomez every time I go out for my hockey practice. She handles my things." Elijah shrugged while I gasped. "Eli, that is not how I taught you--"
"I know! But she is very persistent saying that it is her job to serve me. It still creeps me out, but I manage to got use to it overtime." Elijah explained.
I got up from his bed and headed towards the door. "Well, we better hurry up because Mr. and Mrs. Gomez are waiting for us downstairs."
