The following week began just like the others, with Nani walking through campus with his usual cool demeanor, hoping to escape the constant attention from Sky. But, as always, Sky had other plans.
Monday
Nani was on his way to class, deep in thought, when he felt the familiar presence of Sky at his side. His hand brushed Nani’s, and Nani flinched, his heart rate speeding up immediately.“You’re looking sharp today,” Sky teased, his voice close enough for Nani to hear the playful undertone.
Nani’s jaw clenched. “What do you want, Sky?”
Sky grinned, leaning in further, his face dangerously close to Nani’s. “Nothing. Just wanted to remind you how pretty you are when you scowl.”
“Get away from me,” Nani snapped, pushing him back, but Sky only moved closer again.
“I think you like when I tease you,” Sky said, his hand gently brushing Nani’s waist as they continued walking to their next class.
Nani’s body stiffened, but he didn’t push him away this time. His heart raced in his chest, faster than it had ever been before, and he hated how it made him feel.
“Shut up,” Nani muttered, but even as he said it, a small, almost imperceptible smile played on his lips.

Tuesday
Sky didn’t let up. If anything, his teasing grew bolder. Nani was trying to focus on the lecture, but Sky, ever the distraction, kept leaning over to whisper random things in his ear.“You know, you’d look even better if you smiled once in a while,” Sky murmured, his breath hot against Nani’s neck.
Nani stiffened, trying to ignore the warmth spreading through him. “Stop,” he hissed, but Sky only chuckled, his hand finding its way onto Nani’s wrist under the desk.
“Why are you so fun to mess with?” Sky mused aloud, but there was no malice in his voice, only amusement and something deeper—something Nani couldn’t quite place.
Nani tried to pull his wrist free, but Sky only tightened his grip. Nani’s face flushed slightly, but he refused to show any more emotion. “Sky, stop touching me.”
“Nope,” Sky responded simply, not even pretending to be apologetic. He just grinned, clearly enjoying the power he held over Nani’s stoic, unflappable exterior.
Nani wanted to get away, but for some reason, he didn’t. The way Sky’s hand held his wrist felt different now. It wasn’t just annoying—it felt... comforting.

Wednesday
It wasn’t until Wednesday that things started to shift.
Nani was sitting alone on the bench outside the student center, minding his own business, when he was suddenly surrounded by a group of students gossiping about him.
“You heard about Nani, right?” one of them asked, their voice laced with disdain.
“I heard he’s the one who broke into the dean’s office,” another added.
“That’s what I heard too. He’s been acting out a lot lately. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s behind the whole thing.”
Nani stood up abruptly, his fists clenched. The last thing he needed was for rumors like this to spread, tarnishing his reputation.
Just as he was about to leave, Sky appeared, walking toward the group with a confident stride.
“Hey,” Sky said, his voice cutting through the crowd’s murmurs. “What’s all this about?”
