The morning breeze was crisp as I walked through the school gates, trying to brace myself for what I knew would be a long day.

My mind was still reeling from last week's events—the fight, the pain, and the unfairness of it all.

Why did Sehun have to lie about it!? If he just told the truth, I wouldn't have to be punished for it!

“Lisa!”

I turned at the sound of Rosie’s voice, her familiar figure rushing toward me. Her brows were furrowed in worry, her usual cheery demeanor replaced by concern.

“Rosie,” I said with a small smile, though I wasn’t in the mood to smile at all.

She reached me and grabbed my arm. “Are you okay?!" There was urgency in her tone as she examine my form. Her eyes not missing every bruise and wounds I got from being stupid.

"You idiot! I heard everything from Jimin. He said you got into trouble because of.. Uhm... Sehun? I don't know! But look at you! Are you sure you can go in class looking like that?"

I sighed, I understand her concern. After all, my face is covered with band-aid a last resort I came up with to cover the bruise on my busted lips and my bruised cheeks. That stupid
Yeonjun hit me too hard!

“It’s so stupid, Rosie. I was going home after the audition but before I could leave, I saw Sehun getting beat up by some bully on the corner of the Main Building. I was already involved before I could comprehend the situation and honestly, I could be smarter than I was." I wince from the pain of speaking for too long. "Story short, Jimin-Oppa and Miss Jennie Kim came to my rescue. I was brought to the school clinic and I woke up with only Miss Kim beside me."

I pause, "Listen, this is the best part, As I woke up, I was told that Yeonjun is some part of a gangster group or whatever. Sehun denied being bullied and I was punished to assist the student council president."

"What?" Her expression was baffled and honestly, I don't blame her. Tell me the exact same thing and I wouldn't believe you.

Her lips pressed into a thin line, her expression hardening. “Whoever that Sehun is, He's a jerk! What’s his deal? You even helped him!”

“Exactly,” I muttered. “But I can’t let this slide. I’m going to talk to him and figure out why he did it. There’s no way I’m letting him get away with this.”

Rosie nods along, her eyes filled with determination. "I'm coming with you! That jerk needs to learn his lesson!"

I nodded, grateful for her support. “Thanks, Rosie. I’ll text you the details.”

The morning classes dragged on, my thoughts continuously drifting to my impending punishment. When the final bell rang, I gathered my things and made my way to the student council office.

The air inside the office was tense, a stark contrast to the chatter-filled hallways. Jennie, the student council president, was seated at her desk, her sharp eyes narrowing as soon as I entered.

“You’re late,” she said curtly.

I glanced at the clock. I was five minutes early. “I’m not late.”

She raised an eyebrow but didn’t argue. Instead, she handed me a stack of papers. “These need to be filed and organized. We're working on the upcoming event the Club Fundraising Competition. You will assist me the whole duration of this upcoming event."
