As I begin my Pre-Trip Inspection
I'm ensuring that my clutch is set to neutral and my parking brake is out. I will now begin with my safety start by pumping the brake pedal down to 90 PSI.  Next,  I will start the vehicle and wait for the air pressure on my gages to reach the desired pressures. The Governor should cut out between 120 to 140 PSI.

(The Governor cut out at 124 PSI.)

I will now perform the first of my three air-brake tests.

I will begin with my AIR LEAK TEST.
No more than 3 PSI leakage will occur in one minute for a single vehicle.

I'm pushing the clutch in, putting the truck in first gear, and turning the truck off.

Now I'm turning the KEY back on, and releasing the clutch and pushing in the Parking Brake Valve.

Now, I'm depressing the service brake pedal and waiting for my air gauges to stop moving.

I'm now starting my one minute timer...

It has now been one minute with no leak detected.

Next I will test my LOW AIR WARNING LIGHT by depressing my service break. It must activate at or above 55 PSI.

My LOW AIR WARNING LIGHT activated at 60 PSI.

Now, I will test my PARKING BREAK VALVE by pumping the pedal repeatedly until the PARKING BREAK KNOB pops out.

The PARKING BREAK engaged at 23 PSI.

I am now setting my gearshift back to neutral and switching the key off and back on and verifying that my ABS TRACTOR LIGHT came on and back off again .

I'm now turning the truck on and waiting for the AIR BREAK GAGES to build pressure back up to 100 PSI.

Okay, now that my gauges have reached 100 PSI, I will begin the TUG TEST.

I will begin with the TRACTOR EMERGENCY BREAK TEST.
I am pressing the clutch in and putting the truck in first gear.
Now I am gently easing up on the clutch just enough to ensure that the parking brake is holding.
It held.

Now I will test my SERVICE BREAK. I'm now releasing the PARKING BREAK. With the clutch depressed and the truck in gear I am now easing up on the clutch and bringing the vehicle to a stop by depressing my SERVICE BREAK PEDAL. Test was successful. This concludes the TUG TEST.

Re-engage the Parking Brake and set the gearshift back to neutral. Next I will test my INDICATOR LIGHTS to ensure that they are all working correctly.

I'm now turning my external lights on. Right, Left, 4 Way, High Beam, and of course Low Beam. Test successful.

Now I will verify my SAFETY EQUIPMENT.
Here are my FUSES. The CIRCUIT BREAKERS are located at your feet underneath the glove compartment.

I have three RED REFLECTIVE TRIANGLES inside this red box.

We also have a FIRE EXTINGUISHER located on the floor here below the consul. It is securely mounted and fully charged.

Now I will begin inspecting the condition of the WINDSHIELD.
It is clean, not cracked, and not damaged. There are also no obstructions and no illegal stickers blocking the view.

While I'm here I'm also checking my WIPER BLADES AND ARMS.
They are securely mounted, not damaged, and there are no missing pins. Also the WASHER FLUID works.

Now I'm examining my MIRRORS.
They are clean, securely mounted, not damaged, and they are properly adjusted for my use.

Now I am demonstrating that the HORN works correctly.
