"Are you going to tell my parents?" Ron asked suddenly after a moment of peaceful silence.
"Yes..." Harry blinked. "I don't want to keep this from any of you. I just wanted to tell my best friends first."
Hermione smiled. "That's really sweet Harry," she said. "I'm sure Mr. and Mrs. Weasley will be supportive, just like Professor Lupin, Ron and I have been."
"I hope so," Harry muttered.
"They will be," Ron insisted. "Like I said, Grandma is a dark witch, and Dad and Charlie are leaning dark so don't worry." Harry took a deep breath and nodded. "Then we should probably go back down stairs and rescue Lupin from my mum." All three of them giggled.
"Harry!" Remus called once they re-entered the family room. "Everything alright?"
Harry stared into his godfather's eyes, "everything's great."
Remus smiled, his shoulder's relaxing slightly, "good."
"Yep, everything's absolutely great!" Ron agreed, slumping down on one of the empty chairs.
The twins, who were sitting in the chairs beside him smirked, leaning down. "Boys," Mr. Weasley said, "don't." Fred and George both pouted but stopped smirking.
"Harry," Mrs. Weasley called. "Are you alright?"
Harry blinked, he hadn't realised that he had frozen in the doorway while Hermione joined Ron. "Yeah..." he muttered. "Just uhh... thinking."
"About what dear?" Mrs. Weasley asked.
Harry bit his lips, eyes darting to Remus, then his best friends. "I uhh... wanted to talk about my inheritance test," he revealed.
"Oh..." Mrs. Weasley blinked. "Alright, you know you can tell us anything Harry."
"I know," Harry blinked. He glanced at Remus, who gave a slight nod. "Well... you already know that it came early..."
"Yes, very early," Bill leant towards him. "It's rare to have an inheritance before your fifteenth birthday."
"I know," Harry said, getting a little tired of people pointing out how special his early inheritance was. "Anyway, Remus took me to Gringotts for a test right after, obviously." There were nods all around. "And well... it said that he was my godfather and that's how we moved in together."
"Which is wonderful by the way," one of the twins, Fred Harry thought, cut in. "Your relatives were horrible."
Harry chuckled, "I know." He shook his head. "But uhh... that's not all." His eyes darted around the room, taking in everyone's expressions. Remus was watching him with the same kind eyes he always had, Ron and Hermione both also had soft expressions, as did Mr. and Mrs. Weasley. Bill looked intrigued, Charlie too. Percy and the twins seemed to be focused on some other things, but did still look to be listening, and Ginny was just watching him with the curious eyes of someone who didn't understand but wanted to.
"Well... what is it?" Percy asked when Harry didn't speak.
"My-" he cleared his throat- "my magical affinity, my core- it- leans dark- is dark."
There was a moment of silence before Mrs. Weasley broke it. "Are you concerned, Harry?"
Harry swallowed. "I was... a little."
"Why?" Charlie asked, cocking his head. "Dad and I are both dark leaning. Charlie and Perc are neutral."
"I know that now," Harry grumbled. "I didn't then. And... well everyone always talks about how bad dark wizards are-"
