The sun was warm but gentle that Saturday morning, with a slight breeze rustling through the trees.

Pon had planned the perfect picnic day to surprise Sailub. He spent the morning packing a basket with sandwiches and fresh fruits.

Sailub's favorite snacks, and even a thermos of iced coffee, Sailub's guilty pleasure.

When Pon called Sailub to tell him about the plan, the excitement in Sailub's voice was so endearing that it made Pon's heart flutter.

"Are you sure?" Sailub asked over the phone earlier, his voice laced with anticipation. "You're taking me out on a picnic? You're not teasing me, right?"

Pon chuckled softly. "Why would I tease you about this? I want us to spend some time together. Just the two of us."

Sailub had immediately agreed, rushing to get ready. Now, they are at a quiet park on the outskirts of the city.

The park was peaceful, with birds chirping, a calm pond nearby, and barely any people in sight.

Pon had chosen a spot under a large, shady tree, spreading out a checkered picnic blanket on the grass.

As they sat down, Sailub looked around, a wide smile on his face. "This is perfect, Pon. I didn't know you could plan something so romantic."

Pon rolled his eyes playfully, unpacking the basket. "Don't act so surprised. I can be thoughtful too, you know."

Sailub smirked, leaning closer. "I know you're thoughtful. That's why I fell for you."

Pon felt his cheeks heat up, but he ignored the comment, handing Sailub a sandwich instead. "Here, eat this before you get all sappy on me."

Sailub laughed but took the sandwich. As they ate, they talked about their week, sharing small moments and teasing each other like they always did.

Sailub leaned back against the tree, pulling Pon closer until Pon was practically sitting in his lap.

"You're clingy again," Pon muttered, though he didn't push Sailub away.

"You love it," Sailub said smugly, resting his chin on Pon's shoulder.

Pon just shook his head with a small smile, handing Sailub a slice of watermelon. "Here, stop talking and eat."

They stayed like that for a while, enjoying the quiet serenity of the park.

Birds flew overhead, their chirping filling the air. Sailub pointed out a few to Pon, who nodded along, though his focus was more on Sailub than the birds.

After they finished eating, Sailub pulled Pon closer, wrapping his arms around him tightly. "You know, this is the best day I've had in a long time. Thank you, Pon."

Pon smiled softly, leaning back against Sailub's chest. "I wanted to do something special for you. You've been working hard and stressing out a lot. You deserve a break."

Sailub kissed the top of Pon's head. "You're amazing, you know that?"

Pon laughed lightly. "Don't start flattering me too much. It might go to my head."

They both chuckled, the sound blending with the rustling leaves around them.

For a while, they just sat there, cuddling and watching the birds. Then, Pon's voice broke the comfortable silence.

"Sailub..." Pon began, his tone unusually serious.

"Hm?" Sailub responded, looking down at him.

Pon turned slightly to face him, his expression unreadable. "I need to tell you something."
