The Return Of Ghostface

When I arrive at the hospital, I'm immediately taken back for surgery. I wake up in a room with Tara, who is currently asleep with Sam sleeping in a chair next to her bed and Sidney sleeping in a chair next to me. A nurse then walks in, "You're finally awake, how are you feeling? Any pain?" "I feel fine right now, no pain" I say. "The medication hasn't worn off yet probably" the nurse says, "If you start feeling any pain let us know." The nurse does a routine check up and writes a few things on her clipboard. "Everything looks good" the nurse says, "I'll be back later to check on you again."

"How is Tara" I ask. "She's fine, she woke up a few hours ago and was asking about you" the nurse says has she checks on Tara, "We told her you were still in surgery, she didn't fall asleep til we brought you back to the room shortly after that." "How are Chad and Mindy, the twins" I ask. "They're a few rooms down from you two" the nurse says, "They're fine and will be able to visit you tomorrow." "Aaron..." Sidney says waking up. "I'll give you some privacy, come get someone if you start to feel any pain" the nurse says before walking out of the room.

"Aaron, thank God you're awake" Sidney says hugging me, "How are you feeling bud?" "I feel fine" I say, "I just have another reason to not take off my shirt." "Let me let you in on a little secret" Sidney says, "Chicks dig scars." "Really" I ask. "Would I lie to you" Sidney asks, "And you should tell her how you feel." "Girls don't go out with guys like me" I say. "Trust me, she feels the same way about you" Sidney says, "She likes you, you would make her day if you asked her out." "Maybe" I say, "Where's Gale?"

"She went to grab some food" Sidney says, "She should be back shortly." "Where are my mom and dad" I ask. "They were here earlier but they have been making funeral arrangements and held the service earlier today" Sidney says. "Okay" I say, "I'm tired." "Rest up, I'll be right here when you wake up" Sidney says. "I love you Aunt Sidney" I mumble as sleep takes over my body. The next time I wake up, I see Sidney, Gale, and Sam quietly talking while Tara sleeps. "Look who's back from the land of the dead" Gale says.

"Hey" I say. "You still feeling okay" Sidney says. "Yeah, just starving" I say. "Good, cuz I got you your favorite" Gale says handing me a few slices of pizza. "Thanks" I say and start digging in. "Thanks for watching over Tara Aaron" Sam says. "You don't have to thank me, I'll always protect her" I say. "Ah, you're finally awake" dad says him and mom walk in. "So when can I go home" I ask. "Never" mom says. "What" I ask. "You heard me" mom says, "Your not allowed to step foot in our house again." "I don't understand" I say. "Let me simplify it for you then" dad says, "You killed your brother." "Because he tried to kill me" I say, "It was self defence." "Everyone told us, that we should have never adopted you because of who your father was, murder runs in your blood" mom says, "But we didn't listen and now suffering the consequences."

"Mom, dad" I say, "I-" "Don't call us that, don't ever call us that again. We are no longer family, you are no longer a Sharpe...you are no longer our daughter" Tom says. "Get the fuck out" I say. "Gladly" Chloe says, "You're a disgrace." "No, you're the disgrace bitch" Gale says, "Aaron's better off without you two anyways. Rot in hell." "Don't you ever speak to my nephew like that again" Sidney says. "Whatever" Tom says. "You have one week to get your things before we throw everything away" Chloe says. Chloe and Tom walk out. "Aaron" Sidney says.

"I'm not hungry anymore" I say placing my pizza on the table next to my bed. "Don't listen to them, their assholes" Gale says. "You're more than welcome to live with us" Chad says standing in the doorway with Mindy. "Our mom would love that" Mindy says. "How much did you guys hear" I ask. "Pretty much the whole thing" Mindy says. "Mmm, I just want to be alone" I say turning on my side away from everyone but facing Tara. "Come on, let's give him some space" Sidney says. "Their wrong Aaron" Sam says as everyone walks out.

I just sigh. "You shouldn't listen to them" Tara says opening her eyes. "You heard everything, didn't you" I ask. "Yeah" Tara says, "Their idiots if they can't see how amazing you are, it's their loss. You're not a disgrace or murderer and you'll always have me." "Thanks Tara" I say, "How are you feeling." "Better now that you're awake" Tara says, "And if you ever need a place to stay, my doors always open." "I appreciate it" I say. I grab the remote and put a movie on while we enjoy the silence and each others company as we slowly drift off.

Five days later I am finally released from the hospital. Me and Sidney along with Chad and Mindy head over to the Sharpe's house to collect my things. I grab all my clothes, all my school items, my laptop, all my bathroom items, and anything personal or items that hold sentimental value. An hour later, we are walking out with a few suitcases, a couple of boxes, and a couple of bags. As I'm carrying out the last bag, I pass Tom and Chloe, "Go to hell." I load the final box in Sidney's car and we drive to the Meeks-Martinez. We bring all my things to the spare bedroom Martha designated as mine.

We unpack and set everything up in my room before picking up some food and meeting Sam and Tara at the hospital. We hangout and talk for hours before heading home since Chad and Mindy have school. I'll be returning on Monday since tomorrow is Friday and Tara will be coming back in a week. I'm in bed reading a book when Chad walks in. "Hey, I got you these" he says handing me two tickets, "They won't do me any good." "I can't" I say handing them back to him. "Yes you can" Chad says pushing the tickets into my chest, "You and Tara deserve to have some fun after everything we went through."

"What about you" I ask, "You went through the same nightmare as me and Tara, you deserve to have some fun just as much as us." "Mindy's giving me her extra ticket" Chad says, "No girl is willing to go with her after everything and well my date...just please. Prom won't be the same without you two." "Okay, I'll ask her" I say. "Atta boy" Chad says, "I'll pick you up after school and take you to the hospital." "Seriously dude" I say shaking my head, "Nut thank you, for everything." "Of course man. You're my best friend, my brother." Chad leaves and I start brainstorming ways I could ask Tara to prom.

There will be one, maybe two more chapters that get into details about what happened between Scream 5 and Scream 6 and also set up the events for Scream 6.
