"ARE YOU FOR REAL?" Dulce huffed. Niya sat next to Dulce in the passenger seat swiping on her phone. Dulce just finished her nails and was going to the mall instead of having Niya pay for an Uber.
"Yes, ma asked about you. I guess Ja told her about the other day, she's been asking for you." Niya explained as Dulce made a U-turn to make her way towards Niya's house. If she didn't miss Jamie and Tee, she would've never turned around.
"He not gon be there, right?" Dulce subconsciously chewed on her acrylic nail, the other hand on the wheel.
"No, he's at practice, I think."
Dulce nodded, turning up the music.

"It's crazy what money can buy you." Dulce spoke in awe looking at the house.
Niya laughed, leading the way to the front door, pushing it open. "Ma! I'm home!"
Jamie came around the corner, "Did you go to target like I asked you?" It wasn't until Dulce walked in behind Niya did she stop and stare.
"Wow. You are still as beautiful as ever." She smiled as she walked up to Dulce. Dulce smiled, "Thank you."
Pulling Dulce into a hug, Jamie squeezed her one good time in a loving, 'i've missed you' kind of way. She loved Dulce like another daughter. Dulce was always respectful and never gave her any vibes of using her son, she knew Dulce truly loved him.
"How you been, girl? It's been a long time." Jamie pulled back, looking her up and down, admiring her beauty. One thing about Ja was that he knew how to pick them.
"I'm good, working a lot. How have you been? How's Tee?" Dulce smiled. Jamie started to walk away towards the kitchen so Dulce and Niya followed her.
"He's good, he with Ja right now. But i'm glad to hear you've been doing well." Jamie pulled out a pie from the oven. "Pie? It's apple."
