Splinters In Time

The house thundered with Max's footsteps as she raced up the stairs to Billy's room. Hammering on the door, she threw it open wide. "Hey, Dumbass! Mum and I are heading to the shops. Do you want to come? Do you need anything?"

"No, Loser, get the fuck out of my room!" He was laying on his bed, a magazine in hand which he rolled up and hurled at her.

"Billy!" Max yelped as it hit her. Then, her eyes lit up as she spotted something. "Billy."

Billy sat up in alarm as she came towards the bed, reaching under it for something. "What are you doing? Get out of my room!"

"Billy, what you do in your own time is your business, but you have to admit... they are a bit tarty. " She pulled out a pair of very tall, cherry red high heels.

"Hey, put those back! Get out of my room!"

"You know, Billy, I'm not quite sure these are your size." She spun one around by the heel. "Bet they'd look killer with a pair of fishnets though."

"They're not mine! Get out of my room!" Storming over to Max, he wrenched them out of her hands before pulling her hair and shoving her out the door, slamming it shut behind her.

"Fuck!" Frustrated, he threw the shoes on the ground.

A hand appeared on the windowsill, followed by an elbow, a shoulder and finally, a head. "Did she just call my shoes tarty?" Bonnie said as she climbed in through the window, swinging her leg up over the frame.

"You couldn't have taken them with you? Why did you leave them under the bed?!"

"Hey, you try climbing out the window in six inchers." Bonnie dusted herself down. She was as impeccably dressed as always, in tailored black trousers and a silk shirt red as sin. "That your sister?" She said, stepping closer to him.

"Step-sister, yeah." His arms were crossed, his mouth pressed into an irate line. "God, she's annoying."

"She certainly seems an... energetic kid." She twirled a curl of his hair around her finger, putting her chin on his shoulder to speak low in his ear. "Come on, let me make you feel better."

A/N: So by my calculations, there's really not long left to go on this story at all — about 4 or 5 chapters. Thank God season 5 is coming out next year, huh? XD Hope you are enjoying it so far! Please leave a like and comment!
