The Slime and the Hashira

"Good day today! Hope we can have another haul of hunt!" Gobta says cheerfully, riding on his Tempest wolf and leading the demon slayer royalties  through the forest.

"I'm the king of the mountains! No beast can get past me! And with my spatial awareness, I can locate them easy peasy!" Inosuke chides flexing his irrisistable muscles.

Gobta looks at the prince, doubt in his eyes. Well, he has seen them during trainings and he can say this beast breather's fighting technique is unpredictable. And his swords are chipped making him the easy target for doubts.

"Even so, the prey are hard to find as they're masters in hiding. Moreover, they are quick on their feet and are agile. They're magical beasts after all," Gobta smirks wanting to see the reaction of the boisterous beast breather.

"Ah? You understimating me, you green skinned?! How dare you insult the king of the mountains-!"

Tanjiro was quick to pull his friend before he could punch the still smirking captain of the goblin riders.

"Gobta, I suggest you keep your opinions to yourself, alright?" The sun breather says calmly. "Cause it may sound like Inosuke is bragging but he is right. The three of us can locate the preys pretty easily. After all, they are easier to find than the demons, the master lurkers."

At the mention of villain demons, Gobta paled. Facing with those kinds of adversaries still makes his skin crawl. Inosuke huffs smugly this time, veiwing their small dispute as his victory.

"Stop it Inosuke, don't make it worse," Zenitsu sighed, done with all these childish arguments.

"He started it! He insulted me!" The beast breather defended himself pointing at Gobta accusingly.

"He did not! He just pointed out stuffs! And-"

Zenitsu cuts himself off when he catched the faintest sound of movement from their prey. His ear twitched while Tanjiro sniffed.

"Found them!" The sun breather muses.

"Ehh? That fast?" Rigur chides in disbelief, his eyes widening. Nonetheless he was excited, wanting to see the Tempest princes in action.

"This way!" Zenitsu dashed, his lighting sparkling around him as he took off.

"Right behind ya! Yeehaa!" Inosuke jumps and run after his friend.

Gobta and Rigur could only exchange glances wondering the same thing.

"So fast!" Rigur voiced out what he has in mind making Tanjiro chuckle. "We use our breathing techniques to navigate our surroundings that is why. I'll lead you guys there. Let's go."

As Tanjiro walks ahead, Rigur closed the mouth of the open wide Gobta, before following the nice young man.

A struck of lightning here and there, slashing and shouting and viola! Jobs done!

Inosuke is never the quiet hunter after all. Well, so does Zenitsu when he is all nervous and thinks he's the one being hunted. Which is impossible at the moment since they were only hunting for venison meat. And off course, bull deer is the perfect option.

Tempest wants pork?

Then it'll be at their dining table after an hour or less.

Bird meat?

Maybe fish.

Easy.

The demon slayers became masters of hunting on their first try after all. Leading Gobta and Rigur to just watch in awe and amusement. It's quite the entertainment so why not, eh?
