To be a Father and a Hero

A/N Hello everyone and welcome back to another chapter of To be a Father and a Hero! I hope you all enjoyed your time reading the story up until this point! Izuku having control of over 8% of One for All was something that I had planned from the start. Not having Izuku break his limbs very early on into his time as All Might's Successor means that he will be able to put more strain on his limbs when he fights without having to worry about them being incapable of being used. Not to mention Izuku is fighting for someone right now, he will be far more... lethal. Let's begin!

Izuku went back out onto the field, he had mastered the usage of One for All enough to where he didn't have to focus on it anymore. Not only that, but he had gotten used to fighting with one arm to the point it didn't mess with his fighting style. His one-armed fighting skills showed off that he was very determined to make up for his missing limb.

He was currently bouncing off the walls as though he ate too much sugar as he leapt from wall to wall in his bid to land attacks on some robots nearby. Principal Nezu and Recovery Girl were watching the young man's progress as he continued to push himself to the very limit. The two were watching him for a small while longer before they heard the sounds of an old man griping behind them.

"Ah, it's been so long since he's been here. You think he's here to test the kid?" Nezu questioned, looking at Recovery Girl.

"As far as I am aware, yes. He always tests the new users of One for All ever since Toshinori was announced as Nana's successor." Recovery Girl said, lightly tapping her cane on the ground.

"Well hopefully he doesn't go too hard on the boy, lord knows he's already had to deal with enough as it is in his life." Nezu stated, as he cleaned a small device.

"For the last time Toshinori, I will be making sure that he knows how to use One for All correctly I'm not going to hurt him too badly." Gran Torino's voice rang out as soon as the two elderly men entered the room.

"Gran Torino! It's been a long time since we last talked, how has it been?" Nezu asked, mock cheer in his voice.

"It's been too damn long. Not only did Toshinori not inform me about his successor until after the Sports Festival, but he didn't tell me that he was a cripple as well." Gran said, as he sat on a nearby chair.

"You haven't heard another set of news?" Nezu quipped as Gran stared at him before glaring at Toshinori.

"What else has this buffoon not told me?" Gran questioned.

"The boy's already a father, a pretty young one at that. He has a child that is named Hyoriku, it was a night of passion with his previous girlfriend before she was killed. Poor boy, probably feels as though he shouldn't get into another relationship after her death." Recovery Girl said, with a sad sigh.

"He's already a father? Wouldn't that get in the way of his studies as a Hero?" Gran questioned as Nezu looked at him.

"Are you suggesting he give up his child?" Nezu questioned.

"You all know what happened to Nana's husband." Gran said, with not a single bit of remorse.

"He has done very well in keeping his grades and training up whilst having a child of his own, if anything he's shown great promise." Recovery Girl said, as Gran shook his head.

"Promise doesn't change a thing when it comes to him. I need to see how good he is as a fighter, if he can defend himself then that will show me, he can win." Gran Torino said, leaving the room.

"Just... don't hurt him emotionally" Toshinori called out, as Gran looked over his shoulder.

"What's the worst that can happen?" Gran Torino questioned.
