It had been three days since the class activity, and things between you and Jotaro were... better. At least, that's how it seemed to him. The awkwardness between you had lessened, and you were starting to get more comfortable asking him questions during class, especially when you couldn't read the board clearly. Your little exchanges were becoming more natural, and Jotaro found himself looking forward to those small moments, even if he wasn't sure how to express it.

Kakyoin, however, had been watching all of this from the sidelines with an amused grin. He leaned toward Jotaro during class, the two of them sitting a few rows apart.

"Hey, Jotaro," Kakyoin teased, his voice low. "You know, the guy who said it's wrong not to give her glasses back? You're clearly enjoying this, huh?"

Jotaro, who had been absentmindedly glancing toward your desk, tensed slightly. "I'm not," he muttered, still not willing to admit that he was actually enjoying the small moments he was having with you.

Kakyoin smirked. "Uh-huh. Sure you're not. I mean, you've been sitting next to her for three days now. I'm sure you're finding plenty of 'good moments' to enjoy."

Jotaro shot Kakyoin an annoyed look, but there was a slight, almost imperceptible flush on his face. "Good grief, Kakyoin, seriously. It's not like that."

Kakyoin chuckled, clearly enjoying teasing his friend. "Yeah, yeah. Sure it's not."

The next day, Jotaro came into class with a familiar sense of anticipation. He had been looking forward to seeing you in class, especially after the quiet, comfortable routine you'd both fallen into over the last few days. What caught his attention today was that you walked in wearing glasses-your spare pair, he assumed.

He hadn't seen you wear them much before, but now, you were walking toward your desk, clearly more at ease than before. Jotaro felt a slight smile tug at his lips.

But as you entered the room and realized Jotaro was now sitting next to you, something shifted in you. Your eyes widened when you saw the seat arrangement.

"No, no, this isn't happening," you muttered under your breath. In an instant, you scrambled to grab your things and move to the other side of the room. "Sorry, I-I can't sit here!"

Jotaro's heart sank as you quickly shifted seats, your gaze avoiding him. He didn't know why, but a sense of disappointment settled over him. It was like all the progress they had made-no matter how small-had been erased in a single moment.

"Hey," he called out, trying to stop you, but you didn't respond. You were already settling into your new seat, your face flushed in embarrassment.

Kakyoin, who had been watching the whole thing unfold, raised an eyebrow. "Well, that's a setback."

After class, Jotaro caught up with you. He wasn't going to let this go, not again. He had tried to be patient, tried to help you feel comfortable, but this was getting ridiculous.

You turned around to see him standing there, a determined look on his face.

"We need to talk," he said, his voice calm but with an edge of frustration.

You froze, suddenly feeling that familiar rush of fear. "I-I'm sorry," you blurted out, not meeting his gaze. "I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. I just...I can't sit next to you."

Jotaro's jaw tightened. "Look, I don't know what's going on, but you've been avoiding me. I'm trying here, okay? You're not going to make any progress if you keep running away."

As Jotaro reached into his pocket, you flinched instinctively, the fear of being caught in another awkward situation taking over. When his hand came out, you saw your glasses.
