Original Intro: Happy Valentine's Day! Here is a one-shot to celebrate, It has been a draft for a while so it's not really good but I hope you enjoy it! ❤️💜😁

20 years, 20 years his father had been gone. He could be dead, but Telemachus didn't want to think so. It was a random day, a very hot day in Ithaca, a lot of people were down at the beach to cool off but Penelope said you two couldn't go because there were matters to attend to at the palace. So there the two of you were sitting on his bed dying of boredom. Then there was a knock at the door. "Yeah?" Telemachus called out, a servant's voice coming from the other side of the door said that his mother needed him right away. Telemachus sat up "I'll be right there." He stood up, holding his hand out, asking you if you wanted to go with and you took his hand accepting the offer. So you and Telemachus head down to his mother's room, when Telemachus opens the door, you are met with his mother crying and a man with long hair and a beard, Telemachus stands there confused. "Telemachus...Your father is home" Penelope said between tears.

Telemachus could not believe what he heard, he couldn't even say anything at first, he could only stand there staring in shock. You see, Telemachus had never seen his mother cry before. Not once in his life. So seeing her so overcome with tears now, must mean what she is saying is true. Telemachus looked towards the ragged man, studying him very closely. Could this really be his dad? Telemachus tried to say something, but words failed him, all he could do was stare. Odysseus just smiled upon seeing Telemachus, he chuckled seeing Telemachus' reaction, but his laugh was interrupted by Penelope running over to Telemachus, and pulling him into a tight embrace. This seemed to bring Telemachus out of his stupor.

Telemachus was still having a difficult time believing this. But once again, he looked at his mom. This time taking in her reaction. She was hugging him tight like he would fade away if she let go, and even now, as she smiled, tear streaks were clearly seen on her face. Telemachus finally seemed to accept what was in front of him. It was really his father, Odysseus. Telemachus tried to hold back his emotions, he did not want to cry in front of his father on their first meeting in ages, but his eyes began to water. Telemachus was still trying his best not to break down completely, but he could feel his facade about to crumble. A few tears began to stream down his face, even though he was trying to hold it back. Odysseus saw this and, to Telemachus' surprise, began to walk over to the two of them, before pulling Telemachus into a tight hug, like Penelope had done a moment ago. Telemachus was on the verge of tears, but with Odysseus' arms around him, he felt the floodgates finally open.

Telemachus was now sobbing, and he felt embarrassed for letting his emotions get the better of him, but Odysseus just held him even tighter, while Penelope stood nearby, her hand on your shoulder. After a few moments of this, Odysseus gently pulled Telemachus away from his chest to look at him. Telemachus was a mess; tears had flowed down his cheeks, and snot had run from his nose. He must look pathetic. Telemachus wiped his nose as Odysseus spoke, Odysseus smiled down at Telemachus. Telemachus saw, for the first time in his life, a hint of pride in his father's eyes. Telemachus felt a knot grow in his throat as he heard his father speak. His voice was a little rough and ragged, but it was still one of the best things Telemachus had ever heard. Odysseus let go of Telemachus, patting him on the shoulder, he then turned his attention to you. Telemachus wiped his face, trying to collect himself, as he watched Odysseus turn his eyes on you. Telemachus suddenly felt a new wave of embarrassment as he realized you had just witnessed him crying in his father's arms, but it wasn't the first time you'd seen Telemachus cry,

Odysseus looked you up and down, examining you closely. Telemachus' cheeks felt hot as he looked on, he was wondering what his dad must think of you. Suddenly, Odysseus took a step towards you. Telemachus prepared himself, but all his father did was grab hold of your left hand, looking at the gold ring on your finger intently. Telemachus stood there nervously, waiting to see what his father would do next. Odysseus studied the ring a moment longer before an almost proud smile appeared on his face, Telemachus could feel that he knew what the ring meant. Telemachus was not prepared for how his dad would react though. As Odysseus released your hand, he stepped back with a smile before he spoke again "So, my son, you're married now huh?",

Telemachus felt heat go through his face the second his father said those words. He knew the whole village, hell, the whole world probably knew he was married, but hearing his dad say it made him feel strangely embarrassed. Telemachus just nodded, not even trusting himself to speak right now. But Odysseus seemed excited, he let out a loud laugh, before smacking Telemachus on the back roughly, causing Telemachus to stumble forward a little. "Good, damn good," Odysseus said loudly, still smacking Telemachus on the back, he seemed to have a lot of energy after being gone so long. He stepped back, looking at Telemachus with an expression Telemachus had never seen on his father. Pride, Telemachus knew, that's the only word he could use to describe it. Telemachus looked at his mother, who just smiled, obviously happy to see the two of them together again. That was the beginning of happily ever after.

The end, I hope you liked it! 🫡💖
