I wake up to a ray of sunshine peeking through the drapes of my window and onto my eyes. There's no school today, so I spent the rest of my day at home.
I woke up at 10:42 AM, I got up and went into the living room to find aunt Nancy gone. She's probably at her boyfriend's house again.
I see on the countertop that she hasn't organized the groceries from last night, so I went and placed individual ingredients to their right places, like the refrigerator. I was thinking of cooking up some eggs and bacon for myself, I poured some of the left over milk from yesterday before I bought the new one and I set the cup on the table. I noticed that the cut on my finger from yesterday.. was gone? Was I hallucinating or something? Or was the cut from yesterday just an illusion? I was so confused, but at least it's gone?
I put on my earphones and played I can love you by Mary J. Blige. I hummed to the beat of the song while cooking the eggs and bacon, I grabbed a plate from the dish rack and turned off the stove. I sat down in the dining table and ate my breakfast, looking out of the window in front of me. I could see the whole downtown and the road that's pushing uptown. It's chilly outside, I can tell by the sky, it didn't have much fog like yesterday but it looked dull. Not dull as in "gray and glum" dull, it just looked like it's the end of winter that's transitioning into spring type of cold, y'know?
I finished my breakfast and brushed my teeth, I washed the plate too, don't worry.
I cleaned my room and the whole house, I was feeling a bit productive today, don't know why. But it's rare for me to be like this, so why not make the best out of it?
After all of the cleaning, I remembered that I have a date with my boyfriend today. I was screaming inside, because it's been almost half a year of him and me not seeing each other!
I immediately went into the bathroom and did an "everything" shower. I dried myself, I put so much effort into my hair and did a soft blowout.
I wanted to really impress and make my boyfriend fall in love with me again. But I realized that I didn't have any decent clothes nor dresses.
I just had the most stupidest idea, but it might work.
I rummaged through my aunt's closet and found a dress that I have never even seen her wear, I think it's designer? Don't know where she got the money from, but it's okay, at least i'm not the one who paid.

I put on some dainty jewelry, and a gourmand perfume to top it off. I wore heels, for the first time, i'll just pray that I won't break a toe while going home later.
I took a cab to our meeting place, it was a nice restaurant far uptown. It was 5:15 PM, I was on time, a bit too early I think. I went inside the restaurant and didn't find a reservation in my name, or even his. How strange...
