Footsteps echoed through a dimly lit corridor, two armed guards walked behind a man with unruly hair who was in handcuffs. No words were said between the three, but the air around them was filled with skepticism. A door was in the distance and as they slowly approached it a faint smile spread across the man's face. The door began to open and the man was blinded by light as he went through it.

Ten years have passed since Izuku Midoriya had given himself up after he killed Kai. He had been sentenced to Tartarus for all the crimes he had committed as Phoenix. He had expected to spend the rest of his life in a cell, stuck below sea level. His only company would be his thoughts, the guards footsteps, and the rare times someone would request to speak with him.

Once he made it through the doors he stopped and took a deep breath as he enjoyed his first breath of fresh air in years. The taste was amazing and filled him with a happiness he had long forgotten. He took in the view of the sky, he had never seen a prettier sky before. The sounds of the waves and seagulls squawking was a symphony to him and he enjoyed every single second of it. Even the sound of the guards grumbling couldn't ruin the moment for him.

"I can't believe they let a psychopath like you out. The world had finally gotten back to normal. Hell, it's even better than it was before the war, but now the man that at one point was at the center of everything is on the streets."

Midoriya couldn't help but laugh, he knew they were right. He was one of the original members of the League of Villains, he was a part of multiple attacks on UA, he had killed more than his fair share of people, and he was now a 'free' man.

"What can I say, good behavior can do wonders for you in life."

One of the guards scoffed at him. "Good behavior my ass. At least they took away the damn quirk of yours, now you won't be able to cause nearly as much trouble."

Midoriya smiled as he continued to stare into the sky. Not long after he was taken into Tartarus, he was injected with the drug from one of the quirk deleting bullets. He wasn't forced to take it, but he agreed to it as a demonstration for how effective they were.

"I don't plan on causing any more trouble. I just want to enjoy the second chance I've been given to the best of my abilities."

The guard scoffed at him again. "I'll believe it when I see it. I give you a solid four months before you start causing chaos again."

"That's enough boys, I'll take it from here."

All three of men's eyes were drawn to the figure in front of them. Midnight stood there in a pair of navy blue skinny jeans and a black turtleneck. She held one of the ends of her sunglasses against her lips and gave her usual seductive smile as she leaned on the hood of her car. While she may have been 40 now, she still didn't look a day over 30.

Seeing her brought a smile to Midoriya's face. "Well, it looks like my ride's here. Do you mind taking these off?"

Midoriya shook his arms gesturing to the handcuffs. The guards glanced at each other before looking back to Midnight, who only nodded. Begrudgingly one of the guards undid his handcuffs freeing Midoriya.

With his arms free, he stretched before sighing. With a smile on his face he made his way to Midnight, who could only shake her head at his antics.

"Good behavior, seriously? Do you even realize how many strings the Principal had to pull to get you approved for this?"

Midoriya gave her a shrug before reaching for the door. "I mean it's not wrong, when the jailbreak happened I was the one person who didn't try to escape."

It was true, a few months after Midoriya was sentenced to Tartarus, a war broke out between Heroes and the League of Villains. While Midoriya didn't know all the details, the first one apparently ended with both sides taking major casualties ending in essentially a draw. It was however what came next that tipped the scales in favor of the villains. Shigaraki attempted to free All for One from Tartarus, but was met with a surprise that he wasn't expecting. Instead he decided to release everyone else, including Midoriya. He turned down the offer and Shigaraki surprisingly let him live.
