Now, Lester has had dilemmas—old and new. Sometimes he ignores them, thinking to himself that doing so will make him forget the dilemma as a whole from his mind. It does work at times, except for a few of them which just come gnawing at him and his attention, forcing Lester to confront them. The boy either thinks about it, or forces his feelings on that matter on to something else, like a distraction. Or fight it out in the training grounds. He just wants his body to do something, rather than confront what he is feeling.

Now the boy is faced with a new dilemma; one that a lot of children his age have gone through at least once in their lives.

That is, not wanting to go to school.

Well at the very least, they say that out of laziness, rather than having to face their new nightmarish life of seeing faceless people.

Lester tries to focus on everything but the face of his butler when he comes to give him his morning tea. He takes his breakfast in his own room. The boy is still not ready to face his family in their new forms. The blonde knows he is procrastinating an inevitable event and one day, he would be forced to face them. Oh well, at least he can wait until then, the boy thought to himself.

Walking out of the room to his carriage outside is difficult, much more than he expected. He holds his things in his bag, as he tries to walk his normal speed, trying not to let the butler behind him know that anything is amiss. When a maid passes by them, Lester smoothly looks down at the marbled floor, admiring its designs, before looking forward and walking on.

Of course, he used other methods to not look at anyone's face. He would look into his bag sometimes, as if to check if he has everything in it. But doing it too much would cause suspicion, so the blond boy used that tactic rarely on his way. Another one, is him turning his head away slightly, as if to look outside through the windows. And yet another one is basically fixating on a specific point and blurring everything out in your sight.

Lester genuinely hopes that Norman, who is following him outside to his carriage, won't notice his raising heartbeats whenever a maid passes through.

Lester manages to reach the carriage without any more trouble, proceeding to just silently open the door and get into it without a word. The coachman does not notice anything amiss; since he considers Lester as a boy of short temper and has woken on the wrong side of his bed. Perhaps Norman does, since he is usually the one who holds out the door for Lester to enter. Lester only realizes his folly a moment after he has done it, to which the boy sighs in annoyance over himself. He needs to get used to this new situation as quickly as possible.

The boy looks out of the window as he sees the meadow-like areas turn into a thick grove, which soon turns into the inhabited areas of their dukedom. The sun is bright and there is a sense of laziness to how the baby sunlight washes over the streets and houses. Lester watches this, their houses, their streets, slowly falling entranced.
