CHAPTER ONE • you can only choose one.

Chin-Hwa feels as though she can finally breathe as she steps into a room flourishing with multicoloured lights and drunk, disoriented people. She sweeps her hair behind her shoulders as she gravitates towards the bar, adjusting her dress slightly to reveal a hefty amount of cleavage.
Leaning against the bar, she orders herself a shot of tequila and hands the bartender her last lot of change. Scanning the area, her eyes fall on a man sat at the bar a few feet away from her.
Dressed in a red shirt tucked into jeans, he appears to be an easy target for her. She grins inwardly as he takes a sip of the drink, his sleeve edging down to reveal a decent sized watch on his wrist.
Chin-Hwa shots the tequila and now, with a slight buzz running through her veins, she slowly approaches the man. He looks up as she gets close, a shit eating grin stretching his cheeks as he eyes her up and down. She shivers slightly.
" Well, what do we have here?" He asks, moving slightly in his stool. His voice sounds scratchy, a telling sign of a smoking habit. Cigars, probably, by the looks of him.
She gets closer, running a hand up and down his arm, a sultry smirk residing on her face. It's easy, no longer the strained smile she'd show a few years back. Leaning in, she whispers in his ear. " Buy me a drink and i just might show you a good time."
She can feel him shiver as he pulls away, and she eyes him as he orders a Bacardi and coke for her. Blegh.
Taking the drink from his hand, a conversation easily flows between the pair, her voice like honey as she draws him in.
" So, can i put a name to this pretty face?" The man questions after a sip of his aged whiskey, and Chin-Hwa's brain whirs just for a moment.
" Eun-Ji." She lies right through her teeth, and he buys it.
" Pretty name for a pretty girl, huh?" She shrugs, pretending to act coy for a moment as she finishes the last of her drink.
Barely five minutes pass until he's leading her out of the club and into a taxi, her hands sliding up and down his leg all the way there.

The sun is barely starting to rise when the man falls asleep, and Chin-Hwa rises out of the bed and slips her dress back on before edging over to his side of the bed.
Picking up his discarded jeans, she rummages in the left pocket and finds 20,000 won, cheering slightly on the inside. Her excitement peaks however when she reaches into the right pocket, and pulls out a little orange bottle of pills.
