Jalissa sat across from Victor Owens in his spacious office, her heart pounding as she steadied her breathing. This wasn't just an interview—it was her chance to prove herself. Victor, seated behind his sleek desk, looked calm and composed, his piercing gaze fixed on her as he tapped a pen against his notepad.

"First," Victor began, leaning forward, "tell me why someone without any direct corporate experience deserves a position at one of the most competitive companies in the industry."

Jalissa took a deep breath and met his gaze. "I may not have direct experience in corporate, but I've spent the last few years working two jobs while pursuing my education in business administration. I've developed exceptional time management and organizational skills, and I understand the value of hard work. More importantly, I've made it a priority to research this industry and your company in-depth. I may not have all the technical know-how, but I can guarantee that I learn quickly, adapt seamlessly, and contribute value to your team."

Victor nodded slowly, jotting something down. "Interesting. Let's test that knowledge of yours. How would you describe the current state of the tech industry?"

Jalissa straightened. "The industry is rapidly evolving, with advancements in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and green technology leading the charge. However, consumer expectations are shifting just as fast. Tech companies are expected not only to innovate but also to prioritize sustainability and ethical practices. Companies that fail to adapt to these demands risk becoming obsolete, regardless of how innovative their products are."

Victor raised an eyebrow, clearly impressed. "Not bad. Now, let's talk specifics. My company recently launched a beta version of a new project management software. If you were pitching it to a potential client, how would you sell it?"

Jalissa leaned forward slightly, her hands resting on the table. "I'd start by emphasizing the software's ability to streamline workflow and improve team collaboration, two pain points for most organizations. I'd highlight key features like real-time updates, task automation, and integration with existing tools, which reduce inefficiencies and boost productivity. But I'd also stress the importance of scalability, ensuring potential clients know the software will grow with their business."

Victor's lips curled into a faint smile. "You've done your homework."

"I always do," Jalissa said confidently.

Victor stood and grabbed a folder from his desk. He handed it to her. "This is a draft of a proposal we're preparing for a major client. I want you to read through it and tell me what you think."

Jalissa opened the folder and began reading. For several minutes, the room was silent except for the occasional scratch of Victor's pen on his notepad as he observed her.

Finally, Jalissa set the document down. "It's well-written and persuasive, but there are some areas that could use improvement."

Victor raised an eyebrow. "Go on."
