Xiao placed his phone back down on the table and picked up Hotaru from her bouncer. He laid her down on the sofa gently and pulled her into a fluffy coat and boots. He then picked her back up and placed her in the car seat. He made sure she was strapped in securely before he left the room to find his coat. He returned to the room a minute later with his coat and shoes. As Xiao put his shoes and coat on Hotaru watched him.

"Oh shoot, your dummy." Xiao sighed once he noticed Hotaru staring at him.

Xiao quickly zipped his coat up and searched the room for Hotaru's dummy. He found the dummy chucked behind her bouncer. Xiao sighed and quickly wiped it off before walking over to the car seat and placing the dummy in her mouth.

"You and dada are going shopping today. Can you be a good girl?" Xiao asked Hotaru with a small smile.

Hotaru squeaked behind her dummy and kicked her little feet. Xiao's smile grew and he planted a kiss on her forehead. Xiao stood up straight and picked up his phone and the diaper bag. He stuffed his phone in his coat pocket and he slung the diaper bag over his shoulder. Xiao picked up the car seat and headed towards the front door. As he walked he made sure not to accidently walk into anything.

He locked the front once he was outside and placed the car seat in the back seats. He secured the seat safely to the chair and adjusted the mirror so Xiao could see her better in the car. Xiao then got into the driving seat and started the car.

"Sorry for making you wait so long." Xiao apologised to Aether again once he got to the front door.

"Don't worry about it. I can understand. Shopping must be much harder now." Aether replied and offered to carry some bags.

Xiao accepted his help and carried Hotaru inside while Aether grabbed the shopping. Xiao took Hotaru out of her coat and boots and placed her back into her bouncer. He strapped her in before he went back outside to get the rest of the bags. Xiao grabbed the last two, pulled the car boot down and locked the car. He followed Aether back into the house and shut the door using his foot. Aether was already in the kitchen placing all the bags on the counters.
