"I'm suprised that you did such a big shop with Hotaru." Aether laughed out.

"I am too. I'm so glad I got it all done because I haven't actually done a good shop in a while. It's been so hard by myself." Xiao said as he began to unload the bags.

Aether hummed.

"I know you came to talk but I need to get this done and it will definitely take some time, so if you wanna start, you can now. I'm just going to bring Hotaru in here quickly."

Xiao walked into the living room and took Hotaru out of the bouncer. She began to whine so Xiao quickly picked up the bouncer and walked back into the kicthen. He placed it down in the corner of the kitchen and laid Hotaru back down in the bouncer. He strapped her in and handed her her dummy.

"I.. I don't know where to start." Aether sighed out.

"Well, you said you were sorry and I don't know why you should be sorry, so why don't you start there."

Aether took a deep breath. "I'm sorry for multiple things."

Xiao raised an eyebrow.

"You're probably going to get mad at me again, but I'm sorry that I got drunk that night and had... with you. It shouldn't have happened, especially while intoxicated."

"I wasn't mad at you, I was just annoyed and.. disappointed. You said it was a mistake."

"It kinda was."

"Was it?"

"We were drunk."

"That doesn't mean anything."

"It does! We aren't in our right minds to know what's right, how we really feel and all that!I don't know much about you either. You're just my niece's father, my sisters ex boyfriend, some kid I saw a lot as I grew up. We never really talked, we only did when Lumine was there and you were always with Lumine. You could be a person that has sex with any girl who shows an interest in them when they are drunk!"

"Is that really how you see me?" Xiao scoffed.

"Well no, but how am I supposed to know?!"

"The only person I have ever loved was Lumine, she was my first kiss, I lost my virginity to her. I only had eyes for her. Any other girl was nothing compared to her. I've never kissed anyone other than her.. until you."

"You haven't been with anyone since you two broke up?"

"Why would I? She was pregnant with my daughter, Aether. It felt wrong to think about finding someone else while my first love was having my baby."

"I can't believe that's what you think of me." Xiao said with his voice filled with hurt.

"I don't.. I just.. It's what I've known. All the guys I thought were good and actually liked me.. were just fuck boys, boys who wanted to win a bet or dare. I know you aren't like that.. I was just.. I'm sorry."

Xiao let out a long sigh and distracted himself with finishing storing all the shopping away. The room was quiet for a while until Aether let out a small sob.
