Julie stood before her mirror, tugging on the edge of her leather jacket. She tilted her head, inspecting her reflection with a raised brow. Her blonde wig, styled in big, voluminous curls, framed her face, while her tight black off-the-shoulder top and shiny leggings hugged her frame. She adjusted the red heels on her feet, wobbling slightly before finding her balance.

"Tell me about it, stud," she muttered to herself with a grin.

Nancy had insisted on the costume, claiming Julie was a "dead ringer" for Sandy if she just added some attitude. Julie wasn't sure about that, but she had to admit—she looked good.

Julie emerged from her room, her red heels clicking lightly against the wooden floor. She adjusted the leather jacket draped over her shoulders, giving one last look in the hallway mirror before heading toward the living room.

Joyce hovered over Will, "Stay with Jonathan," Joyce said, her tone firm but loving. "And don't stray away from your friends, okay? Stick together!"

Will sighed, rolling his eyes slightly. "Yes, Mom. I got it."

"Do you?" Joyce countered, crossing her arms. "Because last year, you said the same thing, and I had to pick you up from the arcade."

"That was one time!" Will protested, his face flushing.

From the couch, Bob enthusiastically held up Jonathan's borrowed filming camera, fiddling with the settings like a proud tech guru. "Alright, Jonathan, check this out," he said, showing Jonathan how to adjust the focus. "Now, when you're out there, if you see anything cool, just hit this button here—bam! Instant memories."

Jonathan nodded politely, clearly more interested in surviving the night than mastering cinematography. "Thanks, Bob. Appreciate it."

Julie leaned against the doorway, her arms crossed, watching the scene unfold with amusement. "Wow, a whole team effort to get one kid out the door. Impressive."

Jonathan glanced up at her, raising an eyebrow. "Says the one dressed like a leather-clad jukebox idol. Did you leave any hair spray for the rest of us?"

Julie smirked, flicking her wig dramatically. "Jealousy doesn't suit you, brother."

"Alright, enough bickering," Joyce interjected, handing Will his candy bucket. "You boys ready?"

Jonathan gave a noncommittal shrug, while Will enthusiastically nodded.

Julie cupped her hands around her mouth and called after them, "Bye! Don't eat all the candy in one sitting!"

Will turned back, sticking his tongue out at her, while Jonathan raised a hand in a salute.

Julie watched them disappear down the driveway, the Ghostbusters logo on Will's jumpsuit glowing faintly in the evening light. As the door clicked shut, she turned back to Joyce and Bob. "Alright, I'm out too. Try not to worry too much, Mom."

Joyce sighed, her worry palpable, but she waved Julie off with a small smile. "Have fun, honey. And don't come back too late."

Julie grinned, "Define late."

"Midnight," Joyce called after her.

"Midnight? What am I, Cinderella?" Julie quipped, heading out the door.

From outside, Nancy called up, "Julie, hurry up! Steve's getting impatient!"

"Hold your horses, I'm coming!"

Nancy and Steve were waiting by his car, and when Julie appeared, Steve let out a low whistle. "Damn, Byers. You're pulling out the big guns tonight, huh?"
